Like Gredival mentions, even though he doesn't need to conceal anything he'll still need to cover the sharingan up.

Danzo was mainly pissed that a byakugan was taken out of the village, so it's slightly possible that he mainly just intends to recover it so that it remains in the village. Most likely though the old fucker would jump at the chance to implant the eye in himself.

But seriously, she has shown signs of feeling that way about him. I think she's lying out her ass about how she's 'over Sasuke' and to 'forget about him' because you never forget the first crush, but I could see how her feelings could possibly be real. It's not that complicated, she likes both Sasuke and Naruto, although probably Sasuke more. Naruto's not dense he's just pissed that she wants to turn her back on Sasuke like that, after he spent years resolved to bring him back to Konoha.

My argument is that he's not dense at all in this case. He's seeing straight through what she is doing. She's saying all the right things in order to get Naruto to forget about the promise (so that he won't be in pain from it and to alleviate her guilt over it), despite the fact that she most likely still has feelings for Sasuke... and Naruto is calling her out on it.

The younger, dense Naruto would've heard all this confessing and been all over it. He's wisened up since then.

That said, I'm sure she has some feelings for Naruto as well and I don't think everything she's saying is a total lie. But I seriously doubt she pulled a complete 180, now loving Naruto and hating that dastardly evil Sasuke, just because of one lecture from Sai. Despite what she may feel, I see this only as an attempt on her part to get Naruto to drop the promise... and this was the only way she could think of to make it happen.

Honestly, wish she'd just drop her Sasuke-fangirlism already, it's been annoying since chapter 3 and nothing has changed about that and I'm not even talking about how retarded she must be for "loving" the guy that doesn't give anything remotely close to a fuck about her, the same guy who constantly insulted her when he was still in her team, the same guy she "fell in love with" on the basis that he was awesome and cool.

Unless they reveal some outrageous pre-plot details involving Sasuke saving her from a bunch of homicidal rapists the whole thing just isn't anywhere close to believable, in my opinion at least.

Add that to Sakura being completely useless in most situations except one (the Sasori fight was cool, wish she hadn't lost track after that) and you've got the definition of an annoying character.

Shes doing this because for one its true and so that he doesn't hold back when the inevitable battle comes and he may be forced to kill sasugay. I think this is more a plot tool to reinforce Naruto shifting his focus from just saving Sasuke to changing the ninja world to what he and Jiraiya wanted. Obviously redeeming Sasuke is a part of that since Madara basically challenged him to change Sasuke like he changed Nagato and killing anyone would be antithesis to what Naruto wants. Naruto the Stampede incoming.

I don't think Kishi wants it to seem like the only reason Naruto is doing what he is doing is just to bring back Sasuke for Sakura. I think he wants it to be based more on Naruto doing this to free ninjas from the cycle of hatred and wars in his own way. Along that course is him redeeming Sasuke and Sasuke being forgiven.

Tack that on top of his resolve not to kill anyone as that just contriubtes to the cycle of hatred and we have a rehashed Vash the Stampede.
