I honestly don't think Itachi wants to fight Naruto, clone or not. To me, Itachi doesn't seem very interested in following along with Akatsuki's plan for demons. Before he said Naruto wasn't ready or something, but really what does it matter how strong he is? I think Itachi is interested in using the Leaf to find Sasuke.

I'm one of those skeptics that swear that Itichi's really a "good guy", for all his eviliness they've never really shown him killing anyone.

Yeah, I've been thinking of that lately too. I try not to think about it too much because I really have no idea where things could be heading right now. I think that's one reason I like the manga so much.

Can't Itachi's Sharingan see through the clone? Why would he waste his time?

sharingan only see's chakra flow around the body, since the clones are identical to naruto. no, he couldn't

But, didn't Sasuke know which of Deidara's was a clone or something cause he could see it? Maybe I misread but I'm sure that happened... could be wrong though.

Deidara only created one clone of himself during their fight, right? Sasuke got his hand stuck in it, before Deidara revealed himself to be hidden within the bird.

Really, the only people he's ever been shown to kill was his parents in front of Sasuke. Of course it's hinted that he killed all of the Uchiha in the village, but with as many twists and turns as the manga is taking lately, I'd even go so far as to doubt he was not acting alone.

I think Itachi wants to help the Leaf, or use them, to find Sasuke. Itachi's original intentions for Sasuke were to become strong and rebuild the Uchiha clan. Now, Sasuke is bent on nothing but revenge against Itachi, and to Itachi it may seem like his younger brother has lost all desire or thought of rebuilding anything.

Then Sasuke gets all wide-eyed and freaked out, and Itachi puts him into his Mangekyou Sharingan illusion thing to show him the death of everyone else, and then his parents iirc.

haven't read the manga but i can only remember him walking into the room and seeing his parents dead in the anime. he sees then dead then calls to itachi to help, then itachi throws a kunai or something and slashes sasuke's arm iirc. He saw itachi killing them in a mangekyou genjutsu.

Was that opening supposed to be a teaser for the Naruto movie? Cause I don't know who those enemies are, lol. The grave at first though I was thinking it was...yeah. But same song so I'm guessing it's the movie? Did that just come out, or coming out this weekend or something?

Well, from what I've heard of Naruto movie 4 is that Naruto dies. So that'd be his grave instead of the guy who dies a bit down the line in the anime. But I'm not sure when it's coming out. It looks ok, seems to have the same basic premise of "client hates people because they were disliked for some reason as a child, Naruto then wins them over because he was treated like crap in past too, Naruto saves the day" but then again, a movie is basically glorified filler so can't expect much.

Unless it is straight to DVD (highly doubt it) then it will be a while before DB does Naruto Movie 4. Hell, there still isn't any Bleach movie subs yet, but I hear thats coming out on DVD soon.
