I wonder if there's any connection between Itachi's appearance and Naruto's suddenly collapsing? Itachi did stuff a giant crow into his mou--er, left Naruto with a bit of his power.

I hope not; I have a feeling instead of keeping Itachi alive kishi's going to make his presence felt with a whole lot of 'amaterasu-madara' traps.

New Filler Arc coming up this month in the anime:

It seems like it occurs after Sasuke vs. Killerbee fight, and while Naruto is otw back to the leaf Village (after losing Madara/Sasuke/Itachi's trail), he encounters Utakata; The Six-Tailed Jinchuriki. So seems like Kishimoto is involved in the production of this Arc.

Even though we all know the outcome is Utakata being killed by an Akatsuki member, the question is who is the one that will kill him??? Madara/Kisame/Team Hawk are all at the hideout, so I'd guess Pain and Konan are the ones that will kill Utakata some how since they aren't headed to Konoha just yet (they head there after Naruto heads off to Sage Mode train at Myobokuzan). Zetsu will probably appear to as usual lol.

This is happening before Naruto does Sage Mode training so don't expect him to use anything new lol...But damn we're so close to Sage Mode training & Pain Invasion, hopefully this filler isn't long. Apparently Sasuke vs Killerbee is only two episodes:

Naruto fillers haven't been bad lately. At least they have some relevance for the most part to the story that explores other characters talked about in passing in the manga, whereas with bleach you just get a weird random filler right in the middle of the main story action.

Also, it seems they like to keep the manga at least around 90 to 100 chapters ahead of the anime and right now, the gap between the two is very minimal, about 50 chapters or so, and the events that lead to Pein vs Naruto is pretty fast paced and can be fleshed out in a few episodes before they get to that epic fight. This new filler will probably stretch out 2-3 months if not more.

I was thinking that itachi may have done the same thing that the 4th did to naruto, "activate a certain level of power and poof here i am" except instead of just showing up for emoke he shows up for everyone... dunno probably not but w/e
