I'm guessing that the "light of your eyes is almost out" comment Madara made last chapter is going to factor into the fight. Right now Sasuke is the highhorsiest, most self righteous ninja on the face of the planet right now. He's probably going to start abusing his Mangekyo powers again once he realizes that kakashi can counter his basic genjutsu crap with his Mangekyo.

Killing Kakashi would be cheap at this point.

It was like the Blade trilogy: Whistler died in the first film (with some emotional impact), brought back in the second... and killed yet again in the third film, by which time I didn't care and wished David Goyer would make up his mind.

Kakashi's death at Pain's hands had shock value, it just comes off as silly to me if he dies again, even if it is permanent.

I don't buy this whole Sasuke falling into darkness nonsense. He had every reason whatsoever in wanting to kill Danzo. He has little to no inclination to attack his former allies, let alone try to kill them. It's out of character and Kishimoto is a better author than this to be resorting to the whole "I iz evil and in the darkside now" bit.

Revenge is his entire thing -- its been his thing forever, its just now he's WTF flipped out from hearing what he thinks is the truth, and now has the power to actually back up his old mantra of "get in my way and get killed."

I gotta admit, this made me laugh a lot harder than it should have.

As for as Sasuke going off on the deep end, I'll agree with what was said earlier. After he found out his whole reason for revenge (killing Itachi) was kinda screwed and after ol' one-eye Madara got to him, the kid pretty much lost all rhyme and reason.

Case in point: Restoring the Uchiha clan would requiring making more little Uchihas. And he pretty much almost killed off two of the most willing participants in that plan.

But that's another problem with Sasuke; idk about others but I kind of look at him and think stupid/retard since he's never done anything really epic except surviving Deidara's suicide by summoning the snake but that was kind of bullshit.

Naruto's been developed into a stumbling oaf like Jiraiya but Sasuke doesn't fit that Orochimaru style because he's blinded by his pathetic emotions. I really wish Kishi made more of an effort to make Sasuke evil rather than some boy who's had a tough childhood and thinks he's hot shit because of it.

True. But I guess he's supposed to fall into the Orochi slot because of his thirst for power at any cost up until the itachi showdown. Right now I can see that he won't win this fight but he won't die either. This will cause him to seek even greater power in order to take on Konoha and ultimately Sageform Naruto. At this point, Sasuke only had the illusion of being insanely powerful because all of his techniques were at a permanent cost where as Naruto has actual power he can call on anytime. Unless he gets new eyes after this next fight I don't see anything but another power search happening for Sasuke.

Though with the way he's worn down, the only way he'd be able to stop Naruto in a fight is by busting out a tank or some crap.

Don't forget Naruto can fuse Sage Mode with 9 Tails Jinchuriki conservative form, it allowed him to resist the control of Nagato's chakra disruption blade at CLOSE range . I'd hope he can negate some Sharingan Genjutsu the same way. Sasuke would stand no chance against Pain, even w/ intel he'd run out of chakra.

Sage Mode - Nine-Tails Influence

During his meeting with Nagato, Naruto is stabbed in the gut with the former's chakra disruption blade. Nagato thinks he would be able to control Naruto with his own chakra, but Naruto inadvertently reveals a fusion of his Jinchūriki form and Sage Mode characteristics. The exact capabilities of this form are unknown, but it is enough to completely resist Nagato's control.

When Jiraiya's Cho Odama Rasengan (Massive Rasengan) explodes, it's suppose to destroy a mountain (we only saw Preta Path absorb it though), so I hope Naruto's is a little bit stronger; Naruto's is called Sage Art: Great Ball Rasengan (Sage Art: Giant Rasengan)

He can draw out the fox, sure, but I think now that he's seen what he's capable of when he loses control, he'll try his damnedest to just use sage mode at the most. If Sakura dies, though ,all bets are off, and boy, the sauce is going to get his eyes handed to him.

I loved the talk between Kakashi and Sakura. poor guy shouldnt blame himself for Sasuke's failness.
