Best part was Naruto stretching out his arms and going "SHOW ME THE WAY!!"
Best part was Naruto stretching out his arms and going "SHOW ME THE WAY!!"
lol Naruto doesn't even give a fuck that they are being attacked by a giant squid
or that he was caught by it
he's just counting the tentacles and shit like a boss
SHOW ME THE WAAAAAY~
Hilarious. Naruto doesn't even give a shit.
Killerbee rockin' those rhymes again. God he's hilarious. A shame he'll most definitely die![]()

bothers me every time i see it
Naruto ebbs and flows between mediocrity and greatness. This chapter was one of greatness.
*still hopes "that jutsu" is hiraishin*
The pacing is amazing, I am so jaded I was expecting bullshit between the 'you must meet the octopus on a paradise island' and the 'we have to put the hosts in a remote location'. Little did I know we'd get it in like 2 fucking pages, awesome.
Also with Kisame in Killerbees sword we are going to be in for a surprise attack or something. Hopefully Kisame has to leave and physically go meet Madara providing time for Naruto to train a bit.
Doubt Kisame has to leave physically. Can probably just have a hologram or whatever relay the information like when they all meet to seal the bijuu into the statue.
god kisame vs bee and naruto would be such an epic way for him to go out
kisame is a boss and deserves to go out like one.... twice
Kishi just needs to show more fucking jutsu. Kisame is supposed to have a bastion of chakra that could fill a country - flood half of a continent, dammit! Summon a massive water dragon that plows through or devours a mountain or something.
I'm tired of these non-handseal eye jutsu that resemble "spellcasting" in bleach. Get back to that old style of lots of handseals and a focus on elemental jutsu.
What Lucavi said.
Also, was anyone slightly disappointed we didn't see more jutsu from Itachi? I mean of all the Sharingan users, it really seems like Kakashi's the only one with the brains to exploit it to the fullest (then again, he was also the one smart enough to figure out the best use for Kage-Bunshin)
Maybe once you have the power of Mangekyou Sharingan using jutsu just seems like child's play?
I have to agree with the above posters though. I really loved the 5 elements with all their counters and weaknesses and it would have been a lot nicer to see lots of different jutsus being used like the fight between the 3rd and Orochimaru for example.
A lot of the villains wound up becoming gimmicks, really, where one or another, the person fighting them just so happened to have the right tool sets to pull out a win. In the case of Itachi, we were probably boned out of seeing a really good fight from him for numerous reasons (eyes, mysterious illness, opponent being Sasuke), but zombie-mode should hopefully give him a bit more freedom to be badass.
Just hope this Bee shit gets taken care of quickly. Didn't like him when he was introduced. Was dreading all the, "He should train Naruto!" talk, and here he is now continuing to be unfunny with bad rap.
Anime is looking awesome now, can't wait for next week.
Also I'd totally watch the Neji Chronicles.
Its sad that I still feel that the whole Team 7 vs. Zabuza was the pinnacle of actual jutsu usage. Kakashi used some, Zabuza used some, Haku used some, Naruto used some, Sasuke used some... Sakura... well... eh.
Hell, taijutsu counts on that list too - I just want more of Part 1's screaming out of the names of jutsu and shit flying all over the place. I'm tired of these "stand still and have your avatar of death fight for you" fights.
J-man vs. Pein was great in the anime especially because there was a great focus on showing off the jutsu that J-man had. I hope we see more of that from other character.
And yes, I agree with you above: Itachi should have used a lot more elemental jutsu. I feel that the combination of his illness (a common and stupid theme in so many Japanese series; basically nerfing a character for no good reason but to try and tear-jerk about the fragility of life) and him wanting to remain superior to Sasuke in all forms of Uchiha-style combat (taijutsu, katons, shuriken, sharingan genjutsu).
Definitely. Part 1 just had some really awesome fights. I'm half tempted to go watch some of the fillers to see if they continued that (I stopped watching after he went off with Shino..somewhere). I still like watching the Lee / Kimimaro fight.
It will be interesting to see what Zombie Itachi and Zombie Nagato can do.
I can't wait until the anime gets past the whole pain vs naruto thing. I purposefully stopped keeping up so that I could marathon the whole thing. And when I say marathon the whole thing, I mean the first episode all the way until the pain vs naruto fight is over. (Sans crappy fillers of course.) I watched the first 100 episodes of naruto in 3 days, I figure if I can find a full week where I don't have school I can pull it off nicely.
Really liking the direction of the manga also right now, was hoping this would happen. :3
