Personally I think the animation completely blows...

These animators need to do a more consistent job, this is 2010! I hate seeing 1 minute of good drawings/battle scenes, then 5 min of complete garbage. Guess I'm used to seeing epicness from FMA:Brotherhood/Boondocks.

That episode was fucking intense, when it stopped at him throwing the Rasen Shuriken I was so shocked, it felt so short. Can't wait for next week, ugh.... so much epicness to come soon.

Japanese animators only get paid $3.00 an hour or $3.00 per frame which takes an hour to complete. I think the drawings/animation work in episode 163 was pretty damn good though, it doesn't need to be perfect in my opinion. Anyway i'm super excited to see this fight, it's going to be and already is a million times awesome!

I thought it was because they split the work up between cheaper chinese contracted animators and the more expensive japanese/korean animators, so you see this huge difference in quality.

I just don't get why they don't have the best scenes done by the expensive animators, instead of randomly splitting up as they seem to do...

a lot of in-between frames look funny in isolation, unless you're dealing with really high-quality feature length animation. the episode looked pretty decent to me and the action was well done.
