Yeah I wish all the other old rookies would get some story time, like back in the good ol' days. Wouldn't really make sense though, seeing as they aren't all together anymore like they were during the genin tests.

It's been stated hundreds of times through this thread already.

Majority of people in this thread read the manga, and pretty much all agree that if you don't read the manga and only follow the anime you are a fool - therefore, you shall be spoiled and disappointed.

Also. Hinata loves naruto, she kinda dies, naruto goes fox crazy, meets minato, confronts pain, he resurrects everyone and dies, sasuke is still boring.

I really hope the anime picks it up. It seems like the manga so far has done a way better job at showing the epic nature of this fight. This last episode looked like they had their 2nd string animators in there.

Seriously, I couldn't agree more. There are so many explaining flashbacks mid fight that just kill the already slow pace of the fight. It's hard to watch at times. Guess I'll just lower my expectations for future fights too.
