The anime has slowed the fight so far down, that i can't help but think Naruto could recharge sage mode just during the fucking pauses, compared to what they did with Jiraiya vs Pain and even Bee vs Sasuske, this is pretty pathetic.

Eh thats only for manga spoilers and when the manga just came out, everyone in there reads the manga, the anime rarely gets talked about unless something major happened in the ep.

The anime has slowed the fight so far down, that i can't help but think Naruto could recharge sage mode just during the fucking pauses, compared to what they did with Jiraiya vs Pain and even Bee vs Sasuske, this is pretty pathetic.

So far I think Bee vs Sasuke was more fast paced and exciting than Naruto vs Pain but perhaps that is just my delight in seeing Sasuke get beat up interfering with my judgment.

I appreciate the sentiment Residue as I mostly didn't read the thread at all outside of thursdays/fridays because of spoilers, but I ended up starting the manga anyway because the part where the anime is currently is killing me to have to wait a week lol

Manga is done so much better at this point anyways so it's worth it.

Yeah, this is a series where the manga is just so much better than the anime. Unfortunately the OP anime also started sucking so I started reading that manga too. But the FMA anime is amazing so I still watch that instead of read.

There's really no point watching a poor anime adaptation, there are much better TV shows/anime out there to spend 25min watching, spend 30s reading a manga chapter and then watch something better for that time saved.

It will still still draw in a large number of Anime watchers just to see if it picks up its pace in this fight during the Nine-Tails / Minato / Talking with Pain later stages anyways. But the main reason I am assuming they are slowing the pace down is so they don't have to drag a filler out for too long right after this is done, which is what they will most likely do considering where the Anime and Manga are currently and how they like to try and keep them as split apart as possible now.

It is true, there's a list of animators on naruto mangahelpers website where they keep track of the good ones and the bad ones (based on past episodes and their works). For episodes 166 and 167 "Confession (Naruto goes 6 Tails Kyuubi here)" and "Catastrophic Planetary Construction (Chibaku Tensei)" they have the best animators of the series lined up to have worked on the episode.

They'll also have the best animators lined up whenever the Sauce gets back into the fighting action. Come on, you know they will.

That being said, I did actually enjoy watching the Sasuke/Itachi fight.
