    Naruto's mom has steel/metal release jutsu (that's why she used the chains to bind Kyuubi. She teaches Naruto it by combining her hairpin with his Hokage necklace, and he uses his new found Kekkei Genkai (which combines his already wind affinity with his mother's lighting affinity(she also has wind too)) to create this metal/steel release jutsu. He cuts the Kyuubi's chakra from it's will in half and masters 9 tails chakra. Those are the spoilers...

    but didnt the necklace get destroyed when naruto went 6 tails? pretty sure I saw him reach into his chest, pull out the necklace, and crush it to destroy that seal it was releasing to keep his evil chakra in check

    unless he crushed the "barrier" and the necklace itself was unharmed idk

    According to Ohana's spoiler, Kushina was the previous Kyuubi Jinchuuriki.

    Naruto succeeds in overcoming the Kyuubi with Sage Mode.

    Next week Kishi is taking a break.

    Kushina doesn't dissapear yet.

    Kyuubi says "Rokudou Sennin's...?" as he dissapears.

    from what I gather he managed to get the chakra away from the fox but the fox was still rather powerful so he....locked him up again? >_>

    It doesn't HAVE to be a retcon too much. Sasuke was able to fuck with the fox while inside Naruto's head before so Madara being a much more skilled sharringan user could have forced a transformation soon after she gave birth. I get the feeling there is a way without plotholes but I'm missing some connecting events

    He seperated the Kyuubi's chakra from its will as was explained in the prior chapters.

    ^ Naruto just became the strongest character in the show, that's what. Naruto's normal freakishly high stamina + full access to kyuubi chakra while moving + full access to sage chakra while standing still.

    If you want to take it a step farther, he has now met and made peace with both of his parents AND, most importantly, he's about to make peace with himself, his past, how he came to be, and what he needs to do in the future.
