Latest episode was fantastic, they didn't go low-budget at all this fight, and it was mostly all fast paced action.

My only gripe is that some of the new facial expressions (smiling + angry) and dialog for Pain were a bit silly (i lol'd outloud at the SS below). And the animation was a bit weird, it was high budget but just weird (You'll understand when you watch it).

But overall i LOVED this episode, and I am very very picky about these things. :D

I'm guessing Kishi went with the same team to animate this fight scene as the Naruto vs Sasuke at the Valley of the End. There's a lot of similarities in the style that just don't show up in other fight scenes. I wonder if Kishi himself is doing any of it.

It is either this or 1 minute of fighting with 5 minutes of explaining why that specific thing happened followed by 5 minutes of flashbacks. At least this is cool to watch, I will prefer this over that. Bleach and Naruto do that crap far too often and its like "Because we didn't watch it up to this point knowing of past events already, gg."

I doubt Kishi has anything to do with what animators Studio Perrot uses for fast fight scenes - they always use this shitty playdough style for fight scenes like this. Maybe it just takes too long/cost too much to do them with their normal animation style.

I personally liked it. I think the only time they can give characters any justice to how powerful they are is when they use these animators. I watched it on the stream but I need to download it and keep it because I love well animated fight scenes.
