Them asking that question at the end annoys me. It is either Madara and they are pretending it isn't, or it is someone else who is already dead/doesn't matter.

I'm guessing the reason they put that stupid caption at the end is because the whole incident is being told through a flashback. The Uchiha Massacre hasn't happened yet and the ninja world still thinks Madara is dead.

Episode was awesome but some of it was so weirdly animated. Some of the facial animations were beyond retarded lol.

And seriously, that nail hammer move would've killed anyone not to mention when his push move got reversed and he flew head first into a mountain of stone. Lol at pains dying to rasengans but this one surviving a ton of stone bashing you on the head over and over again.

I recognized immediately that the animation was very simliar to sauce and naruto fight, but this one... seemed too much. Honestly, I had no idea what was going on 90% of the fight cos so much shit was flying about. And wtf, since when could that pain summon water? Trying to reenact the sauske + naruto fight? Just plain dumb.

I much much much preferred the animation quality of the episode before this with Hinata. That was like movie quality shit, was pure win. This... god.. just looking at some of pain's facial expressions made me laugh during the episode that should've been bad ass from beginning and end... not making me say "wtf hahaha" in the middle of it.

And I absolutely loved the music that was playing in the background when naruto was close to taking the seal, man, that was so moving I almost wished I could go back in time and told myself not to read the manga so i can be like "WTF IS THE FOURTH DOING THERE OMG PEEING IN PANTS NOW".

Yeah... that fight, for the most part, was shit.

Sure it was more fluid than the normal animation and some parts were nifty, but I lost all interest once all the Looney Tunes shit started happening. Hammering Pain into the ground with a giant slab of stone? Really? Then all the ridiculous expressions and motions just made me laugh at it all instead of thinking "Damn, this is badass." And yeah, where did all that water come from?

Completely agreed with Olbohn in that I much preferred the animation in the previous episode.

They are called "alters" and can generally change a part of their body into something to help them fight/become more powerful.

The main characters name is kazu something, his alter is originally on his arm. Name of anime please D:

Think this chapter is hinting at it not being Madara. Did she ever call him Madara, think she called him muderer with a mask. If its Madara seems stupid to have so much suspense over revealing his face. At the moment I would bet on it being Sasuke's father, yea it would be pretty cheesey but it was the mom that knew she was going to give birth.

They also didn't explain pain's new abilities. He suddenly developed weird shields and shit which had never been seen before(and each pain is supposed to only have 1 ability? wat)
Also pain punching water everywhere? It really felt like they weren't even fighting in konoha anymore.

I just took it as a clever use of the ability to repel an attack but focusing it around him to use as a shield. Technically he's still only repelling attacks.
