Yeah I loved the animation this episode, wish they did every episode like this. Some of the other episodes just look so stiff and looked better in the manga which shouldn't happen. This episode the fight scenes were really fluid.

I was really impressed with the portrayal of the Chibaku Tensai. They did a really good job of showing how powerful it was and the side effect it had on Nagato. IMO the lower animation quality also brings a better view of the fighting. The SAME quality went into the Sasuke/Itachi, Jiriya/Pain, and Asuma/Hidan fights and they were just as excellent.

im thinking it was done on purpose to emphasize the frustration and emotion of the fight lol. when i 1st saw it in the sasuke and naruto fight, i wasnt feelin' it either. but from a fellow artist's perspective, that is hand drawn. for them to complete all those cells without inking it for the more "mmph" factor is VERY impressive to me. easterners wont respect it as much obviously, especially if you aren't into the whole "art thing" but it really is commendable for them to take something like that and push it far. too bad we seen things similar in our childhood like others have stated lol. spy vs spy etc. but i can assure you, this is def original in its own way. lol

idk, thats my opinion at least. and artist or not, those cells can be pretty funny regardless lol. i had a few laffz'
