Just finished watching episode 169 and noticed at around 11:30~, they added a simple bit of filler showing him gathering nature chakra. Just kind of thought that was a nice touch since in the manga, when he finally showed up to Pain everyone was all confused and shit because he showed up in Sage Mode when he was supposedly out of clones.

well, he's not going to summon the 10tailed beast with the 9 beasts. The 9 beasts are the 10tailed beast. They were separated into 9 separate forms. Though I'm not sure why that makes him the 10tailed beast and not the 45tailed beast.

Being that the Kyuubi only lost half it's chakra there's nothing saying that it couldn't have recovered from that over time. It's not unreasonable to think that, looking at the fact Orochimaru was able to recover use of his arms.

Basically what he was doing was he saw the Space Time Flying Thunder God Technique Seal appearing on his arm, so he was trying to make his arm liquid so that Minato wouldn't be able to access the seal and get close to him a second time. He was too late though, as Minato was able to appear on him and released Madara's contract with the 9 Tailed Fox .

Maybe, it would be around the time that Zabuza is in his teenage or early teen years. Madara also used some water technique to drown the ANBU before he entered the cave that Kushina was giving birth in too:

This is the only reason to suspect Madara of being the Mizukage at one point. Besides being hinted at that the Mizu village was linked to Akatsuki according to the ninja summit.

The thing is anyone with sharingan would likely be able to learn water techniques but even then what's stopping someone who doesn't now fuck all about water jutsu to waltz in and take over a village? It's not like there's any notable prerequisites for becoming a kage.

The question that isn't any closer to being answered though is why Madara or Tobi hasn't taken off the mask yet. Also why has he only used 1 eye ever? I'm still not buying 100% this guy isn't someone else prior in the series at least to be revealed as someone else. Even if it is "Madara" I doubt he's stayed in his own body I bet he's similar to Orochimaru. Hell he could just be saving Susake to pillage his body (can Madara only transfer himself to other Uchiha?

We all saw how popular he was with the ladies in the academy. Just look at who wanted his body: Orochimaru was a weird snake-boy who probably couldn't get a piece of ass unless he chopped it off someone, and Madara is so old he probably can't get it up in this current body.

It is suspect though that he allowed Sasuke to nearly kill Karin, as I'd assume Madara would go for her for a quick, guaranteed lay. Maybe Sasuke isn't the one who's gay, it's Madara. A scorned gay is an evil gay.
