It's just old school Naruto shenanigans. I watched it mostly for nostalgia factor since I haven't watched the old series in a long time, it's not bad but if you aren't interested in that and can spend your time watching something else then do so.

His sharingan looks like an electron configuration concentric rings with dots throughout them only they are not perfectly aligned they are off kilter on the outer edge of the design there are three points like itachi’s
