October 7th is Episode 180 of Shippuden and it has Inari and Tazuna in it apparently since the title is: "Inari's Tested Courage". They're the bridge builder and grandson (from Zabuza Arc), remember in the manga they come to the leaf village to help rebuild after the Pain Arc, and right before Samui, Darui and Karui come. So maybe it's going back to the main story by then or around then?

Jiraya had better intelligence sources from actually teaching Konan the moves so there's always a slim chance that Madara doesn't immediately know what to do.

It's pretty obvious he wasn't powered up at that moment, and he should still have that splint on his leg from him crashing in the wall a few weeks ago.

Ya except the moment he pulled out even an ounce of Kyuubi chakra he should be healed up. That shit is like the elixir of the gods or some shit or maybe just miracle grow but still that's probably the explanation why Naruto has the high speed regen.

May be true, but that also lowers his life span according to the explanation given to Tsunade's similar jutsu. That, and he wasn't expecting the trap so there's no reason for him to be powered up atm. Situation sucks, but is perfectly plausible.

That cells can only divide a certain number a times, and that by accelerating their regeneration constantly like that they are shortening their life span. This was all said during the 3 sannin fight when naruto mastered the rasengan.

Why would sucking the chakra out of another entity (that essentially is a limitless source) lower his life span? The reason that Naruto's life span was being lowered was because when he was using the 4+ tails modes his body was constantly being burnt and healed by the evil infected chakra (AKA the same stuff that burnt Sakura.) This new chakra doesn't seem to have any negatives apart from learning to control his speed and strength. His body isn't being damaged except when he actually gets hurt which he'd actually have to heal the same way anyways just not slowly.

If it were that simple then why would they bother mentioning something to begin with with Tsunade, since she'd have to heal it any ways. It's pretty obvious that speeding the recovery faster then normal causes the shorter life span. But this is all moot, what happened in the last few chapters probably happened within a 10-20min span, hardly enough time for some one as stupid as Naruto to go "maybe I should heal up this foot real quick just in case".

Firstly what are you babbling about? Seriously what the hell do you mean, "Tsunade, since she'd have to heal it anyways?" Have they ever said medical ninjutsu causes people to age faster? no! Tsunade's condensed chakra mark on her forward reverts her violently back to her true age as we see in the Pain vs Konoha arc that had nothing to do with aging faster. There is nothing to indicate that regenerating people's injuries speeds their death. And yes, since the average Shonen character lives to the ripe old age of just in time to be out done by the next generation it is a moot point.

Secondly when the fuck has Naruto been acting dumb recently? He's demonstrated himself as a tactical genius in almost every recent fight since he learned Fuuten Rasen Shuriken. Even before that really the whole "dumb Naruto" thing was pretty much completely the fault of shitty anime filler. The fact that every single one of those ninjas got trapped and letting that shark get away is pathetically stupid. Why even bother having Guy get the scroll to begin with? It's fucking pathetic, you're telling me 3 very powerful and 2 moderately powerful Ninja just didn't have any counter to this? They were beaten by a scroll with an instant summon shark that just so happened to have a fucking gerbil ball made out of water to escape? The water prison isn't some joke of technique either Zabuza had to concentrate on it to hold Kakashi seems like retcon to me. It's ultimately the biggest amount of BS since Sasuke winning time after time due to retarded luck with his eyes.

I'm just glad there was some other good stuff in the chapter because that whole shark trap thing was weak, really weak.
