Well.. if you think about it he also indirectly gave naruto the kyuubi also. :D

I don't remember the chapter, it was around the time Naruto etc caught up with Sasuke just after he killed Danzou. Madara warped somewhere and was with zetsu and kinda...grew a new arm lol

If Zetsu is the one giving him the new arms it would make sense.. he is able to make real body clones and shit after all.

Madara "gave" Nagato the rinnegan? I hope there are some weird circumstances for this, because it's basically saying that he gave away the rinnegan instead of replacing his sharingan. sharingan > most rare and powerful eyes of all time?

My assumption is that he doesn't mean he literally gave him the eyes or anything like that. Probably just some logic that his actions led to Nagato's development and progression of the Rinnegan or something.

The dudes been alive forever. It's likely he means he set a series of events into place that inevitably ended up with the Rinnegan being passed to Nagato.

The rinnegan is a power that basically uses your life energy as it's source; much like the sharingan eventually uses your eye's sight. Except you can't overcome that by transplanting another set of eyes. Rather than use that power through yourself, it would be smarter to create a puppet and have him use the power. You also apparently can't bring yourself back to life, but can bring others back to life. Madara once stated that he had planned to have Nagato save that power for himself iirc.

She's still got the cloak on, and Naruto Akatsuki logic tells us they don't die until they take it off.

Liked the chapter, didn't expect much from Konan due to her fight with Jiraiya and being a woman in Naruto, but she did some serious damage, or seems that way unless she's being genjutsu'd. Though I guess it helps she knows Madara's abilities so she didn't have to try and figure it out during the fight like the 4th did. I'll wait a few chapters for the Rinnegan thing since I'm sure we're gonna get that explained as Madara is talking before or after he kills her.

Negato may have just been a direct descendant of the sage so Madara may have tried for a very long time to trigger the blood line limit. Konoha ninja killing Negato's could have easily been programmed by a genjutsu. Same thing with the guys that attacked the kids later on during training flash back with Jaraiya. I definitely wouldn't take the meaning to be too literal as in Madara implanted the eyes into Negato.

Actually in regard to Madara/Tobi I was thinking about this but has it ever been shown that he can use genjutsu? Yes yes I know sharingan and all but during his fights he's never actually used it has he? Maybe it's just the fact such high level ninjas are almost immune to anything but the highest levels of power. In that sense seeing as how Sasuke and Killerbee broke out perhaps Mangekyō Sharingan is just not reliable enough for Madara to bother with it but that does seem unlikely.

He genjutsu'd the 9 Tails Fox just like Sasuke genjutsu'd Manda. Go back and look at the eyes of 9 Tails and Manda, they both look like Sharingan eyes when they were under control. Madara also forced 9 Tails to become a summon pact spirit though, and he didn't even have to use blood to summon it.

I was thinking that was more something unique to Uchiha's though? Just as Yamato has the ability to suppress tailed beasts as well. Definitely seems that would be genjutsu though I guess.

I dunno, still like Madara better than Aizen. I think it's because there's this common thread in Naruto that even though everyone in the world is a fucking super hero/villain, they're still vulnerable and don't get healed by plot holes crammed in their chest (and if they do, they get chopped into pieces and blown up by deer).

Because the threat of Pain is the only thing that stopped random nations from having their warzones on the front lawn of the rain country? Not cremating the body ensures that the threat of anyone implanting the eyes to defend the rain country is enough to make everyone back the fuck off.

The manga kind of leads you to believe it's a rinnegan only move but never explicitly says so. Not that I recall at least.

TLDR the rinnegan was basically everything as far as i can tell. Literally everything. You know how each character had chakra elements? Rinnegan has all of em, all the powers of the sharringan/byakugan, and a ridonkulous chakra boost,and since the first rinnegan literally INVENTED ninjutsu from scratch i'm sure it has other tricks hiding about.
