Regardless, it's still a pain in the ass for iphone users.

I threw together a quick script (10min to write the script but 20 minutes to find a free fucking webhost) that automatically downloads the last 2 pages of this thread (regardless of thread length), unspoilers spoiler tags then sticks the 2 pages together (one after the other).

This will only be useful for iphone users who want to read the last 2 pages (all the links will just link back to this forum).

Just be careful though as actual real spoilers (Before chapter is published) will be unspoilered as well.

It'll take about 10 seconds to load (slow free webhost coupled with the fact that it's doing 3 page loads at once).

Okay, the simple fact that this shit went on two pages after I made it perfectly clear how things were goin'.. just dumbfounds me, really, but I should have expected that I suppose.

So, some of you make an argument that spoiler tags are dumb, herpderp.. due to checking the thread on an iphone? So what.. those who actually check the thread on the computer should conform to how it's done on the iphone? Just say fuck spoiler tags, if you don't wanna get spoiled, don't come in the thread? There's a ton of theorizing and other bullshit on upcoming chapters that some folks may like doing, but I guess if they don't wanna get spoiled, just avoid the thread!

Listen, if there was a solid release time every week, then we could do that. "Don't come in until Thursday, 2 PM after the chapter's been released, etc", but it's not. There's never a specific time.

If you paid attention to what everyone was saying, you'd see that the iphone view is just part of the problem (which my last post should have resolved, you're the one who is bringing it back up). The problem everyone had was the inconsistency of the new rule, the bias of the new rule, as well as the javascript issue on iphones.

Nah. You weren't even the one I was referencing directly as it comes to the iPhone thing. In fact, it's cool that you came up with a small solution.

Still, I felt the need to address it one more time. I woke up in a *very* bad mood, so to see that this went on for another page and a half (or however long, depending on post limitations with people's settings, etc), just irked me to no end. I did read what everyone was saying, though. The inconsistencies between this thread and a thread like Bleach is simple; people actually care about Naruto and the story right now. All Bleach provides is some interesting art and shitty plot. That's not just one person who thinks it's shitty either, there's countless people who find it shitty.

Here's my point to all this: if you were a person who didn't read early spoilers on a chapter, woke up getting ready to read a chapter or whatever and saw a full post on the whole chapter and had it completely ruined before you got a glimpse at the actual chapter, wouldn't it irritate you a little? Well the rule carries over to movies and what not as well. It's a useful rule. I'm sorry it fucks up iPhone users, but I have zero clues what you could do about that. Maybe your fix will address it. Who knows! I just wish people would stop bitching and keep on topic.

Don't use a web phone, so I don't really give a shit about that particular problem. Heavy tag use can get a bit annoying when there's no context to what's being spoiled (Say... "Chapter 123 stuff" at least), and from there, can sometimes become some giant spoiler quote tree where half the shit isn't even spoilers. Releases have been pretty consistent in the Wed/Thur window since Mangastream picked up. The only real "enforcement" that should be had are when we see scripts or screenshots Mon/Tue (complete with the occasional troll), and of course chat related to that until it comes out. Often the week's link is posted as soon as someone finds it. I guess I'm puzzled by the hypocrisy of excluding Bleach from this "rule" too (unless I misinterpreted some snark), as much as all the cool kids love to rag on it.

It has to do with who's a fan of what, so it would make sense if someone isn't a fan of Bleach, they wouldn't care as much as Naruto, though THAT would be biasedness at it's best. I don't care equally, so whatever.

As far as I'm concerned, once the link to the new chapter is posted in this thread, you shouldn't be expected to spoiler shit anymore. I know I won't. If you click the last page instead of going back to where you last read, that's your own fault- especially knowing that naruto and bleach are usually out on wednesday, thursday latest.

I kinda wish there was a separate thread for the Manga and the Anime. I dislike Manga. A couple pictures and some lines of dialog aren't enough to convey a scene, in my opinion. I either need the animation or enough text to fully describe it.

Unfortunately, the Manga is so far ahead that it's pointless to try to discuss the Anime in this thread, not to mention trying to avoid spoilers.

Aki you seem surprised that people are discussing what seems like a random rule. You think people enjoy having 2 or 3 people dictate how they behave, especially in what was a weekly activity for most readers of this thread?
