Alot of confusion in this thread.

Spikey haired kid = yahiko
Pain = Kid with black hair

Current Pain = ???

Could be "deidara's body" or could be his original body. The point is Pain went from having spikey hair like yahiko to having Deidara hair. So obviously he isn't bound to one body or something to that effect, which led me to believe his OG form in Yahiko, probably some story goes along with it too along the lines of:

Yahiko: Oh I will never accomplish my goal to be protector of Rain.
Pain: lol ok, then let's fuse
Yahiko: no thx
Pain: too bad, fusion-ha!

My point was, the first body that Pain was in resembled what Yahiko may have looked like when he was older. A lot of people thought maybe it was someone related to Naruto, but that was quickly washed away when he displayed the ability to "possibly" use another body.
