Pretty sure Kabutomaru was just calling Yamato a clone because he has the first's DNA in him, I don't think he meant a literal copy of the first hokage.

No there's definitely going to be something big revealed once the mask comes off. It might be explained in a flash back right after the reveal but odds are really good that's not Madara's original body.

I don't get it, so now Zetsu is some super powerful soldier when all this time we were led to believe he was probably weak but good at staying hidden and relaying information back to the Akatsuki members? The 'I has 100,000 Zetsus' felt really pathetic, not even that good and the fact that it wasn't even explained well, it's just 'my magic cells I got from the 1st when he skinned his knee during our battle are now magically growing this random guy who is schizophrenic and can melt into shit'.

Pretty obvious by now the majority of Madara is not his original body considering he loses 1.4 arms every ten chapters.

As for Zetsu, a lot of people pretty much figured out his white side was some kind of infinite supply of human body parts so the whole 100,000! Zetsu's isn't really as surprising as it is lame.

I was a little bewildered by this as well. If I had to guess, it seems more like Madara was able to somewhat replicate the Shodai's wood ninjutsu and because Zetsu is what? Some sort of a plant-man, he used the power of the Bijuu's to create a mass army of em. Are they just mindless drones? Are they super weak/super strong? Are they just big in numbers and nothing else? I have no fucking idea.

I'm not going to lie, this manga is getting more and more... extreme(?) in it's choices for plot. What was once a great manga about handseals, strategic battles that didn't have Sharingan mulligans and a simple but mostly solid plot has turned into a completely different beast. I'm not sure if I like it or hate it. Who knows, maybe it'll turn out to be awesome. I'll still keep reading regardless, I've stuck it out this long, I might as well keep on going until it finishes.

Good thing One Piece is amazing.

I think that's the problem a lot of mangas face. Power curve tends to get out of hand. The whole "TAKE OVER THE WORLD" makes for a pathetic villain and it's always fail. If you're going to have a villain with such a weak goal you often end up grasping at straws stalling as to why your ultimately powerful villain was just sitting around bidding his time.

Also the reason One Piece does soooo well imo is they spend more time fleshing out characters and their motivation than a lot of mangas. Even the villains in One Piece tend be fairly complex.

I don't even know what to think about this manga anymore, to be honest. Similar to what Vaspinne said, it almost doesn't even feel like I'm reading what I perceive to be Naruto anymore. I really hope these Zetsu clones are just mindless and relatively weak, and only a threat because of the amount of them, because I'm kind of tired of being surprised by who's actually fucking threatening at this stage of the manga. Led to believe he's just an amazing recon ninja and now all of a sudden we're forced to assume an entire cave full of Zetsu's is something to fear. I wonder if Kabuto wanting to experiment on one of the bodies will lead to making a better version of the jutsu Orochimaru used that "brought back" the First and Second Hokage.

Definitely will turn my back on this manga if we end up seeing 100,000 First Hokages against the world. I'm shaking my head just thinking about it.
