He was one of the best swordsman of the Mist (of which Kisame came from, no?) and gave Kakashi a really good fight. Kakashi is a general in this war, so...yeah.

No, he was just a familiar face for the series to make it more interesting.

EDIT: He gave Kakashi a decent fight, but ultimately lost to Naruto and Sasuke with relative ease. I feel like he really isnt that awesome despite his swordsmanship.

Orochimaru is sealed in some eternal Genjutsu place from Itachi's Susanoo sword.
Zazbuza isn't all that great in respect to the current nin. He only succeeded in killing canon fodder nin with a kunai in his mouth.

Zetsus are going to swarm the alliance and get mostly wiped out. While the grunts handle the leftover Zetsus the Zombie NINs are going to enter the picture and fight with those they have relationships with (Sakura/Chiyo). After a few panels of crying and saying"Please stop" the non-zombie will get hurt and then either pull it together or be rescued and the battle will be off-screened.

I dont think the zombies will be too big a role, but enough to cause a stir.

The sharingan and rinnegan are apparently some kind of special exception for bloodline abilities when using Impure World: Resurrection, or else why go through the whole process of having Madara retrieve Nagato's eyes from his corpse or Orochimaru wanting a live Uchiha. I fully expect Itachi and Nagato to be unable to do anything dojutsu wise.

I guess this chapter also confirms the death of Hanzo, who just went poof into a cloud of confusion against Nagato.

Um, the manga and anime specifically say Nagato killed Hanzo, and the 100 bodyguards he kept with him.

Because having the real thing is always better than an emotionless, personality-less copy? Also, there's the whole only 3 people knew how to use the technique and one of them was dead, and now 2 of them are dead, and Madara wasn't one of them, thing. I don't see why dojutsu would be an exception to the resurrection thing.

Really, it seems like you love to criticize the manga; but every time you do you manage to get annoyed at things happening that didn't happen or "plot holes" where everything is explained.
