You're not alone as I was relatively bored with it. Never really had the Gaara hard-on, either, so his speech was kinda typical love and peace fare.

Thank you, I just don't understand the Gaara love. Cool character don't get me wrong, but not good enough to redeem another shitty chapter. Then to spend the other part of the chapter focusing on the living dead being surprised at their predicament, and how they are powerless to stop it (surprise surprise!), which is something we already knew thanks to one of the earliest arcs in the series. Again, useless and annoying chapter.

Also, I can't be the only one sick of the stupid nonsense we always see when it comes to ninjas actually being sneaky. Every single time we have a ninja trying to spy on some one else, it was all for naught because the other party knew they were there the entire fucking time. It got so old, always knowing the bad guys knew you were there from the very beginning. I honestly can't remember a time when the other party wasn't already aware of their presence. -_-

The only thing that can save the manga for me at the moment is if these edo tensei fights are absolutely bad ass, and not just rehashes of every single thing we've seen already over the past years since well...since the anime started (thanks for resurrecting zabuza jack ass...). I get the feeling from how the deidara vs old man fight went down that we're not going to see anything new at all, shit is going to be the same crap we already saw, just in undead version. People will cry, gotta kill my old bro, and suddenly after a long, extremely unbearable time, we will finally reach the climax where we see people with techniques we don't know about like Madara and Naruto's new mode fight to finish this off. Hope I'm wrong...

I think it's safe to say that you are pretty much going to see "the same crap we already saw" since all these people have been dead and therefore have had no need for ninjutsu in the afterlife. At best the fights will be more intricate/intense with a hint of brain eating. . . . . . . . .I'm hoping.

Really? I figured the inevitable Azuma v Shikamaru battle of the minds would be the most entertaining. Who do you think will be Itachi's opponent, one of the village elders (are these guys even there/being saved for Sauske)?

Maybe at a later point, but they are on the same team during the war. Unless Sauske get pissed that Kabuto raised his brother from the dead and is manipulating him, causing Sauske to turn against him and Kabuto to use the zombies as a shield against Sauske.

I don't think Asuma was ever painted much of a tactician like Shikamaru or even his dad. He was probably just generally good. I'm guessing that will be an inevitable match up, just as Dan will get flung at Tsunade, Neji's dad at him, and so on. It's only that potential that makes them different than the Zetsu clone army, really. As for who Itachi fights, I guess the remaining two elders are an option, but as noted, Sasuke would be the most likely choice to possibly get him to ragequit working for Madara. Sheer coincidence he can't see right now, though, even if he might not have been in the same location as Kabuto and the clones.

My bet is that Itachi will be Kakashis match up
the granny puppetmaster will prolly be Sakuras encounter
Kankoru will face Sasori
and Gaara + the other Kages will probably face the revived Tailed Beast holders
