In the end it was more like, "well my contract is null now, so we can stop trying to kill each other. No hard feelings!" I got a similar feeling reading this fight. They're catching up with one another while trying to stab each other.

He did get owned by Kakashi, twice. The first fight Kakashi Sharingan'd him up, and then the second time made both his arms completely useless by stabbing him in the shoulders with his kunai.

If the trend from the last couple years stays true, then I think we get a chapter next week and then will have a 2 week break until about the 12th or so in January. Albeit, we might get a break next week, have a chapter the week after and then have another week break after that. We'll just have to wait and see. Same goes for all Jump manga I suppose.

Owned by sharringan doesn't exactly have a different description than any other fight involving a sharringan. If you go up vs a sharringan not even fellating the author will change how things are going to go down. The first fight was also a recon mission since the entire point of it was for haku to strategize counterattacks.
The second fight was essentially Zabuza and Haku fucking around too much. Zabuza could have killed Kakashi easily on the second fight if he hadn't been doing "nefarious exposition banter" which gave Kakashi the time to summon those dogs to pin him down. Haku was being nice and decided not to kill everyone which backfired immensely.


While rereading the chapter i found some notes saying that kishimoto hates drawing girls because he sucks at it. That could partially explain why women tend to get the axe so often?

Ya it's really difficult to know. Obviously, Kakashi has received a bit of a power up since the beginning but we still have to remember him and Zabuza were elite jounin. Even at the time they were some of the strongest ninjas in the world. It's really hard to know if they were holding back. Zabuza pretty much admitted to enjoying torturing and toying with his opponents.

Zabuza wouldn't have held back just before his death. I believe this recent chapter he received a huge powerful from Anko/Kabutorochinaru however.

I don't follow the manga except by spoilers, so I'm curious. When zabuza was reincarnated did he have his sword? I know sharkboy had it/has it. It'd be an interesting plot hole.
