I think the problem comes from where the swords are being summoned from.

Did they hide them in some secret dimension before they died? That would be kind of weird as I'm guessing they didn't die of old age or some sickness.

Are they being summoned from whatever random location they were last at or dropped? That should mean Kisame's and the twin sword should have been summoned to them even if they have new owners.

Good point on why Samehada and Chojiro's couldn't be summoned.. maybe because the swords (which seem to be sentient..on some level?) 'recognize' their new users, and can't be summoned..or some nonsense?

The old swords we're probably gathered and seals in the scroll to be used at a later date. I don't really think it's that big of an issue.

Sasuke's sword isn't really that special since all he did was channel his chidori into his sword to make it hax

But Sasuke's sword was definitely special in some way. Didn't Yamato's kunai phase through it when he tried to block for Naruto at the first reunion? Sasuke was like "That is the incorrect way to block my attack".

and yamato just kinda blocked retardely in general if i remember, sai was all pimp stanced when he blocked sasuke's attack when sasuke said you blocked good man

sasuke's sword is the sword of kusanagi if i recall, it has a special name and it was orochimaru's main blade but its nothing really special.. sasuke uses chidori on it, thats why its able to cut through all other fucking blades besides swords that are enchanted by other ninjas (like bee when he buffed his blade with electricity too when sasuke attacked with chidori blade). when he attacks a nigga without chidori buffed kusanagi, he aint cutting through shit... the panels usually always showed that he was channeling chidori into his blade, you peoples memories are wack

jiraiya wasnt able to be gotcha'd by kabuto because his body was sunk fucking super underwater during the battle with pain, kabuto probably didnt have the means to go that deep underwater to obtain ero's dna, its that simple and it's been stated before many times

did any one even bring up jiraiya o_O? lol. Any ways, I'll take your word on sasuke's sword, since I'm too lazy to go back and read/watch the times he uses it. I'm wondering where he's keeping itachi at, you'd think bringing itachi to the battlefield would be instant win, but I guess not -_-.

Like I said before, if Orochimaru/Kabuto was keeping samples of some of these other ninjas lying around, (like he would have had to do with Deidara and Sasori), why didn't he do the same with Jaraiya.
There are two answers. Either plot convenience, or Kabuto's lying about Jaraiya being dead (which honestly doesn't seem like that big of a stretch).

I'll just say this last thing and I'll be done with this specific debate: Bringing people back to life is always stupid.

That is a pretty huge fucking plot-hole with Edo Tensei depending on DNA. My only guess is that Orochimaru mastered the technique right before the initial Konoha invasion and didn't get samples off of Jiraiya but that also opens up the whole "When did he get samples from Sasori/Deidara?" It had to be before said invasion when Kabuto was supposedly a spy for them. "Insert Catch22 bullshit here"

EDIT: Actually, I can see Kishi somehow explaining this in the near future that Orochimaru still had some kind of loyalty left for his original teammates and didn't want to subjugate them to the technique.

Either that, or I'm going just to attribute it to Jiraiya being a sneaky son of a bitch. Dude was friends with Orochimaru longer than Naruto was friends with Sasuke. Orochimaru never planning on doing shit with his DNA, or him just being one step ahead both make enough sense to me.

Anyway, it's a rather small 'plothole' problem imo.

Tenten is the answer to where the swords came from.

I might be looking way into this but it's safe to assume Oro had some super secret way of obtaining DNA since he was able to get the 1st, 2nd and 4ths dna.
So it wouldn't be surprising if Oro had something to do with some of the resurrected ninja's death. It may also be the reason kabuto's carried around a scalpel.

The real question is since Sasori died right before the Naruto vs Oro fight. Oro and kabuto wouldn't have had enough time to go gather dna. An the only dna sasori should have had would have been the blood in the container since he was a puppet. The only theory I could come up with is that Oro helped Sasori be put into that body. It could make sense since Sasori was Oro spy at one time.

An even know we only heard it once, Madara did order Zetsu to eat itatchi's dead body. So if that's one of zetsu's jobs. We could cross off kabuto gathering dead members of AK dna now.

If by super secret you mean grave robbing. He was doing experiments with the 1st's dna since before he was exiled from konoha. Apparently the only answer we have so far is the fucker was REALLY good at sneaking around cemeteries.

You're assuming he needed an arm or a leg to get the dna. For all we know he needs a lock of hair or something else insignificant. In fact, we know he does not need a lot of dna to use edo tensei because kabuto tells madara if he had some of peins old weapons there might still be traces of jiraiyas dna left on them. If after the length of time since his death plus the attack on konoha could still leave enough of a trace of dna on his weapons then that is proof in itself that he doesn't require very much to resurrect some one.

In the anime, the Kage Summit is confirmed to start on February 10, 2011 YAY!!! Was confirmed on mangahelpers...196 is the end of fillers, then they skip February 3 and start the Kage Summit on February 10!
