I liked it. Chapter was kind of sad seeing some of the resurrected characters interact with some of the living ones.

Curious as to what Black Zetsu is hiding in terms of his powers other then being the land itself. Can he at least pull some first Hokage bullshit and make steroid man eating plants or just move around super fast through the land? GIVE US SOMETHING TO WORK WITH!

I think he is literally the land, all the Zetsus have been white, maybe their black halves are what is making up the earth at the moment or something and it'll be some huge giant trap.

Well I know I'm late joining the party here, but after playing some of Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 and not knowing who anyone is other than Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke and Kakashi, I finally started watching this show from the start the other day, while putting the game on hold.

The start wasn't great, but man it is getting good now.

I always used to make fun of the weird looking guy in the green jumpsuit. But holy fuck. I will never mock Rock Lee again. His fight with Gaara was fucking incredible. I know I've barely scratched the surface, but I think that's been my favorite fight so far. I'm unemployed at the moment, so I can blast through most of the episodes and skip the filler.

Besides the Rock Lee/Gaara fight, there's maybe 2-3? more fights that'll give you same the "OH SHIT!" moments. Enjoy them while you can. Not saying the other fights are bad, not at all, they were all important in their own right. Just not all of them are on the Rock Lee/Gaara or Naruto/Pain level.

Yeah... I still think the gaara/rock lee fight was the very best fight for the show.
They could have done such a better job on the pain/naruto fight, but they ruined it.

The only thing I had a problem with was the hammer and nail thing. Other than that I found it to be pretty awesome. A lot of the fights in shippuuden are awesome, with a lot of quality and effort put into them, imo. notShippuuden is always just full of pure awesome if you don't watch the fillers.

Bee/Taka is my personal favorite for the amount of awesome packed into watching Sasuke get his ass handed repeatedly.

Haha, yeah... that lariat that opened his ass up was definitely one of my favorite moves in the show so far. Simple yet effective.

I don't know, I think generally that whole episode was kind of herp der derp. The animation looked like something out of heavy metal.

I do agree the main issue was the whole looney toons moment but they kind of failed to illustrate an incredibly epic moment when Naruto was in fox mode. The 6(?) tails stood there and straight up took a shinra tensei head on. I found the water somewhat masked the power of resisting that but it's overall a minor gripe.

I really don't like the they added water for them to run on when it wasn't at all in the manga, made pain's statements comical with ridiculous animation, and making pain continuously attack 6-tail form head on instead of immediately retreating, after his 1st attack failed, to do shinra tensi. Which I felt was against his character as a tactical pragmatist. The entirety of naruto vs pain was the biggest disappointment in the anime in terms of comparison to the manga.

In comparison to the manga chapters, yeah it was definitely a let down. But without that relation it was good imo. The animation was fine, taking frame by frame screenshots is just silly. It had the oportunity to be extremely epic, if they would have just stuck to the manga material only.

Animation quality looks fine on all of those. Some look like they were slowed down compared to the actual clip. (Can't be sure though.) Nevertheless they should have just stuck to the manga material.
