That would be correct sir. A Kishimoto references the Imperial Regalia of Japan.
The final piece, Yasakani no Magatama, looks an awful lot like the necklace the Rikudo Senin is depicted as wearing.

Wasn't the sword Itachi's Susanoo used the Totsuka blade? Both swords were owned by Susanoo, but I thought Orochimaru was shown as having the Kusanagi blade?
Orochimaru had the Sword of Kusanagi. Susanoo holds the Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror.
Totsuka Blade was used to seal Orochimaru.
The third treasure, Yasakani no Magatama, Hasn't been used, but it's assumed the necklace the Sage of the 6 paths wore is it.
Though I'm really not too sure why the sword and mirror are considered treasures in the manga because they aren't physical items.
new title: Naruto's Japanese Mythology Lesson
Use this: http://www.narutoforums.com/showthread.php?t=501381Also, I have a filler list for Shippuden. Is this accurate?
He tells you exactly what episodes to watch for the mixed filler stuffs, and where in the episode.
So let me get this straight. Akatsuki's goal is to make a PMC and control the world? That's it? /sigh
Yeah, a PMC would be a much better idea.
If only it were a PMC...
War, has changed. It's no longer about nations, ideologies, or ethnicity. It's an endless series of proxy battles- fought by mercenaries and machines. War, and it's consumption of life, has become a well oiled machine. War has changed.PMC
*shoops a sharingan onto Old Snake*
/golfclap
I'm also now imagining the sharingan tank as a metal gear. fk.
Fuck, now we know what is under Madara's mask, huh?
The solid eye system is really the rinnegan.
Fuck yeah.I'm also now imagining the sharingan tank as a metal gear. fk.
Okay so Pain's true goal. Oh my. WTF. Terrible. Making the world grow up? I think that is one of the worst things I have ever heard. Unless there is another hidden goal behind that true goal. But it's just too stupid not to be his true goal.
I still think Akatsuki's true goal is worse.
Yeah, the super true purpose of Akatsuki is the worst cartoon plan ever.
Well, tied for the worst. There's another anime that basically had the same exact plan, which I'll spoiler incase you don't want to read it.
Spoiler: show
Hmm. Killer Bee's fight was pretty awesome. He basically rapes everyone and then gets taken out by the Sharingan. Really disliking that thing. It can apparently do everything now? It's like a fucking swiss army knife. Now I see why people have so much of a problem with it. Can it possibly be powered up any more? I guess I shouldn't ask that. Maybe it'll turn into an infinity symbol next.
I also love how all the Bijuu are taken out with absolutely no effort whatsoever (aside from Killer Bee.) It's pretty retarded. So Shikamaru can take out one of them, but a Bijuu can't? Inconsistent writing hello! (Though I know to expect that) I have to say though, I'm not sick of this series like I was in Bleach by this point.
Oh well. It is a shounen, so I know that kind of stuff is going to happen.
Lastly, Shikamaru is probably one of my favorite characters ever. He is simply the man.
If I recall correctly, the majority of the bijuu's in the current time-line had no hosts and were on the loose when Akatsuki caught them. It was the anime that made filler's with the bijuu's having their actual hosts from Kishi's character designs.
