Same here. They both contain the power to do so, it's obvious. They both can bring death to the world or bring peace so they choose. Kinda miss seeing Tobi now though. He's gonna pop back in soon after this fight I'm sure. If Pein has the potential to be the student of jiraiyas that can bring all this destruction, Tobi is just broken lol.

In the last chapter Pain made a comment about how Orochimaru and Jiraiya both have unique abilities, which basically hints that he has fought with Orochimaru, or at least seen him in battle.

Orochimaru use to be a part of akatsuki so it's pretty much a no-brainer that Pain has seen him fight. However, there is a possibility that in the future the reason why he left akatsuki will be revealed via flashback and will have something to do with Pain.

oro specifically joined akatsuki to get itachi's eye's but itachi beat him in the same arena sasuke beat him.
the only difference in the battle's was sasuke kept oro's mind/spirit or whatever you want to call it trapped in that limbo that oro uses for his technique whereas itachi just fucked him up.
