He can just move really fast in foxmode (or whatever you want to call it). I think I remember them saying something about him being almost as fast as his father, so I can see why you'd get confused.

Allows him to teleport to the throwing knives so that's completely different than moving at buttfuck speed, which is what he's doing.

Either way, considering how fast he moved in that case I doubt it'd be hard for him to get away from the island. And, like someone said earlier, he could just summon one of those frogs if it's too far out at sea to run across it.

And if he doesn't, all he has to do is summon a frog and swim across wherever the fuck he is to his destination. It's hardly a giant problem for him (He can run on water at whatever mph his SM top speed is).

I've a question about the chapter; when Naruto got those visions of his comrades fighting, was that because of the spring of truth or whatever it was called, or was it his hyper-sensitive sensor skills we've seen before? He never actually touched the spring of truth, so I'm not sure what to think.

in sage mode he is very perceptive of chakra at other sources. i imagine it had something to do with being caught in the shadow jutsu and sensing chakra from the combatant's shadows?

Or perhaps those "distance mass-communication" guys have a constant connection with officers and generals, allowing them to see what they see, and getting caught in his shadow jutsu allowed Naruto to back-trace the chakra signals and see what they see, similar to how he traced Pain by the Chakra rods?

^ It had to do with the bijuu/training building. It's meant to keep them locked if disaster occurs, a barrier is the most likely explanation. As soon he got out of it, he was able to sense his surroundings.

your actually told its because of the nine tails ability to sense "evil" why he was able to sense all the chakra even inside the room where it would otherwise be blocked off

How should I say this... your right with the point your making, you're just making the point for the wrong argument?

Everyone else is talking about Naruto being in SM outside the training room which seals off Chakra from the outside world, and how being in SM, he was able to sense that the war was happening (whether by just being outside, or doing what Uzor explained). You're talking about his ability with RM to sense evil chakras, which he didn't do at all in the last chapter >_>

i always though SM could actually sense "unbalance" in chakra but not in the same effective way as the Biju mode could but i guess i presumed that instead of it actually been said

What are you talking about I was just agreeing with the person above me not offering some new theory. Reading comprehension ftw.

Uzor's explanation makes the most sense because he sensed the fights only after he was caught in the shadow technique.
