I think he meant that only the Yang(the good?) part of the nine-tails chakra is sealed into him, since the other half of his chakra was sealed within the death god.

Using the Dead Demon Consuming Seal, Minato sealed the Nine-Tails' Yin chakra within the death god before preparing to seal the beast, along with its Yang chakra, within Naruto.
dont think it ever said anywhere that a "yin or yang" side existed for the fox and that it was separated from Naruto. Pretty sure it was just half of the Fox's chakra.
Just to prove it further, Chapter 504 even shows how it all went down.
Only beef I have with the split chakra thing is you'd figure the kyubi would just eventually regenerate it, much like Kakashi does after a few days fucking himself over with the sharingan. Still, it's kind of implying that Minato had some awareness of Madara's doings or plans. Whether or not it pans out that way, dunno.
when you saw the Minato's fight with madara he kinda understands if he killed the demon fox it'll just pop up when it regenerates but if its chakra is split its stuck, can't die and become reborn and can't regenerate to 100%
and not sure how anyone else feels but Minato has to be my fav char
I'm failing to see the distinction between being split and used/lost. If it doesn't have access to it, it'll likely want to recreate it. If it implies there's still some connection and can't do that, then the seal isn't true and leads to the possibility of it being broken at some point. At best, I can see weakening it to make the infusion into Naruto easier, but as we saw over time, it's hold got stronger against him.
I'm assuming it's a translating thing. By sealing half the fox in the jutsu, he forever weakened the 9 tails. The other half is in naruto, and will never be full power once again.
I'm so confused lol.
Naruto 4th movie was OK, but had some timeline problems in my opinion hehe
I totally agree. Right after he found out about Jiraiya's death but before he went to go train for Sage mode. So it happened between the what? 2 days in betweeen? lol. Kinda typical for a Naruto movie, simple plot, typical solution. Only part I liked was probably the very end moment between Naruto and Minato. Otherwise pretty forgettable. The entire time I was just thinking "He's the goddamn soon to be 4th Hokage, why doesn't he just Thundergod everything up?" which I don't think he did once in the entire movie
I spent the entire 4th movie expecting him to use Sage Mode but it ended with some pretentious bullshit
Just 2 hours of my life gone, no big deal.
Not just that
When they fought the puppet master at the start he absorbed the seal
But they kinda went back in time in that blast " yamato naruto and the puppet guy)
But when naruto found the guy it's like they never saw each other andnthey guy kinda arrived 6 years before naruto??
Mmm

The movie was down right horrible. I couldn't stand it at times. Mind you Minato is one of my fav characters. Perhaps that was the one reason that forced me to watch it through the end. I know Kishi likes to completely nerf Naruto by making him stupid and giving him a limited skill set, but rasengan spam, really? Those movies are nothing but cheezy and predictable.
To think I was actually hoping for some nice fight scenes.
If they put the movie resources into the anime, by god the show would be legendary.
I for one can't wait for Naruto Kai tbh.
If I'm not mistaken, Kishimoto usually has very little to do with the movies (Same with Oda and One Piece movies with the exception being the 10th movie). So any plot or moves or whathaveyou are made up and not "Cannon". Which is pretty much why most movies suck as hard as they do.
Yeah the movies are just summer vacation fodder for Japanese kiddies. Naruto, Pokemon, One Piece, etc have a new one the same time every year.
I was just thinking, have we seen what Itachi, Nagato and the revived Jinchurikis are doing? I think they're the only ones who haven't clashed with the Joint Shinobi Forces.
