The fight itself feels like it's been stupidly drawn out, too. So that doesn't help with so much focus being put on an otherwise lame character.

I didn't understand that the eyes simply close after an X amount of time. From reading the manga it sounded like an eye closed each time he died, so it was retarded how he was letting sasuke kill him so often.

I still don't know why it's to sasuke's benefit to attack danzo? Do the eyes close faster if he turns something into a dream? Or do they close only after 60 seconds? Either way, something doesn't make sense.. either Danzo blows dick and can't dodge sasuke's sword/other easy shit, or sasuke's an idiot and madara's wrong.

They close after 60 seconds. But if he's in the process of fake dieing then he can't attack. He also will eventually run out of eyes, which means it's in Sasuke's best interest to just keep attacking.

Didnt madara said that while izanagi is active all attacks danzo does are effective but all he receive are ineffective?

And Sasuke needs to attack because if he doesn't danzo will deactivate izanagi so the eyes won't close

That's basically it. Izanagi allows the user to turn reality into a dream. However, that change still takes up some time. If Sasuke wasn't attacking Danzo would be free to attack easily. He needed to stay on the offensive so that Danzo would be forced to keep using Izanagi. It's basically a stamina battle- if Sasuke can outlast all those eyes then he can win.

You know, I would love for Kishi to do another Kakashi gaiden with the story centered around how exactly he got his mangekyo. I can see him explaining how Kakashi always had the ability for the mangekyo sharingan because how he got it and it just now awakened.

Simpler explanation: Kakashi wasn't transplanting an eternal mangekyo, and Madara wasn't transplanting a Sharingan at all.

I'd imagine since the rinnegan is supposed to be more advanced then a Sharingan, it'd take longer to recover. Either way, every eye transplant we've seen took minutes to a few chapters to recover from. Sauce is just being retarded as usual.

No, Zetsu told Sasuke not too long ago that he still needed time to recover. His eyes were still bandaged up.

Madara's body is different, so that probably had a lot to do with his quick recovery time after getting the rinnegan. He also said some cryptic shit about how it belonged to him anyway or something. Kakashi had a medical ninja (Which you apparently don't need when transplanting eyes, for whatever reason. I doubt anyone helped the original Madara when he took his brother's eyes.) with him that probably made his healing much faster/instant...but doesn't Sasuke have red-headed girl with him? Madara has to have some degree of control over Sasuke (Why would he give him power that was close/equal to his if he didn't?) so he could just be lying to him about the recovery time, with Zetsu (who I'm guessing could also help heal Sasuke) supporting the lie, in order to hold him until he's needed for the eyepocalypse. Or it could be something else completely retarded. Writing this much shit makes me feel like Vajra.
