It shows that the day will come where Naruto and the kyubi really do come to terms the way Killer Bee and the hachibi have.

As well, how do we know how evil the Kyuubi really is itself? What most shinobi know of the Kyuubi is his random attack on Konoha and he's known as a "naturally occurring disaster" well uhh...how do we not know that's someone controlling it in some way, and not really the Kyuubi itself wanting to attack and kill things randomly? Sure, the Kyuubi has been a real dick to Naruto, but some worthless runt is acting as your prison guard and you can't do shit about it, you'd be angry and pissed at him too. Now Naruto is finally strong and acting strong and the Kyuubi is giving more of a fair warning (hell, in a way just trying to save itself) than anything else, imo.

Is the Kyuubi itself that, or is he just what people associate with hate because of the Kyuubi attack, fourth dying, etc. in Konoha? I mean as far as we know the 9 tailed beasts were all created by tearing apart a 10-tailed beast or something, right? And Shukaku had all sorts of hate in him, so they're not separated by personality or any such thing. So they're most likely just a power level difference between them, so the Kyuubi is just the most powerful mass of Chakra that manifested a personality. So we don't know if he's truly evil, because everyone saying he's evil has a very biased opinion.

Well, Sasuke fit his argument better than Nagato. Naruto "won over" Nagato by the end of the fight, Naruto still has yet to have any positive effect on Sasuke whatsoever, and possibly is even the reason Sasuke got even more full of hate. And come on, the Kyuubi made a good argument that plenty of people here should have liked him making.

On topic: I didn't mind the Kyuubi reminding Naruto that he has yet to successfully stop hate from destroying the things he cares about, with Sasuke being Exhibits A-Z. I just wish the storytelling didn't waste time with goddamn flashbacks because seriously, who needs the bajillionth reminder about his rivalry with Sasuke and where it's gone from that point?
