The Rasengan in Kyuubi form is just a tailed beast bomb since Rasengan itself was derived from it. And he does it without a clone by making fake chakra arms.

Honestly Naruto just needs to learn some Chakra control. I understand needing clones for infusing wind chakra, but he shouldn't need one for a regular Rasengan anymore

Yeah, he's shown plenty of times where he's made a Rasengan without a clone. As far back as his fight against Sasuke at the Valley of the End, the final Rasengan vs Chidori clash, he didn't use a clone. Every now and then, when he makes a basic Rasengan, he doesn't use a clone at all.

Pretty sure every time he's done it without a clone, he was either in the 9tails cloak or Sage mode. Im not sure how that makes a difference, but I cant recall one time he made it without a clone under regular circumstances.

He probably can it's probably just easier to create a clone to evenly add spin and chakra to prepare the rasengan. If you remember it's basically even with the seal he needs to constantly suppress the kyuubi with his own chakra. That makes chakra control far more difficult to form then the average shinobi.

naruto has stated its easier for him to just make a clone and have it give the rotation to the sphere while he adds the volume to the mass,The only times he's made one without a clone is with the fox clock (since its pure fox chakra instead of his own)

tbh i'm wondering if the Fox style Rasengan will be more of a laser bean instead of a hand bomb

I don't think he was referring to the junchuuriki's overusing their tails, but moreso the symbolic notion of when they go from being just either a host or tailed beast or a person for that matter and just being known as a weapon. Considering all the stuff the Raikage said right before the flashback and what the old 8-tails host said before he kicked the bucket.
