pretty sure it's mentioned when they went on flashback on Kushina's past as Jinchuriki since the first's wife was like her mentor there iirc
Naruto destroying everything in this chapter was totally worth it, so awesome seeing him just go all out with a bunch of new moves.
Naruto shouldn't be able to Kagebunshin while in that Nine tails mode, it was like the first thing he was told when he learned it. It is supposed to drain his chakra way faster since he's feeding the ninetails his chakra in that form.
Poor writing.
I don't understand why Naruto is causing stuff to grow, it must be them just tying everything back to the First Hokage for Naruto. They are setting him up to be like the First Hokage and Sasuke like Madara, for the whole battle congruence when they eventually fight.
Besides that it was a fun chapter, got to see Naruto in control of this new form and kicking ass.
Nine tails kagebunshin thing was already discussed, think most people are agreeing the 9tails isnt fucking with him during the war after their last talk.
What do you mean by making things grow? If you mean the Tree things, that's not because of Naruto. Its because they are dying and lose control of the 1sts power or some shit. Same thing happened to Danzo towards the end of his fight with sasuke. I do agree that they are setting them up to be like Madara and the 1st of course, but thats fairly obvious lol.
Actually, Just read back to when he first got the fox's power, and he does make trees grow and shit, at least when he's around wood element users. Weird.
i'm not sure if its just the fox or all Jin's but Wood can control 4 tails naruto i'd presume after some point the demon power also over powers wood and "fertilizes" it
but it would also explain why the first was so powerful (incoming behind every great man a sexy ass demon woman stands behind them)
All of you are missing it with Naruto's 9 Tails power.
@Maguspk, it's not poor writing, just attribute it to Naruto overcoming a perceived shortcoming via training. He subdued, trapped and spit that game to the Fox enough so he would submit his power again anyways. At any rate, I'm sure Kishi will refer to those previous chapters by making Naruto keep up his shadows clones for a limited amount of time to zerg the Army.
@Maguspk, Eurell, and Odin'sLaw, Yang (life) chakra powers up Wood Elemental release chakra, which is why all of the plants are turning into trees and shit. Naruto's form is a huge mass of Yang 9-Tails chakra since his pops made the seal. Now that I think about it, I have a feeling Naurto will have a fight with the Yin half of the 9-Tails so he can achieve some sort of "perfect" form.
Think they said the 9tails would just be reborn eventually even if shiki fujin is used on it. I think.
Totally off topic but I cannot pay attention to the opening song of the anime because every time it plays I here "ME GUSTA" in the first line lol
A stupid question: If I'm too lazy to read the manga... is the anime close to it? Besides filler of course. I read Naruto when it was first released, then stopped when anime started coming out, and ignored the series up until now. Want to refresh it and catch up, but somewhat too lazy to read the manga, so I was wondering if I will lose too much if I only watch the anime.
The anime is around 65~ish chapters behind the manga at the moment. If you're only going to watch the anime, it'll probably take you a lot longer to catch up to it vs just reading the manga. Of course, you can stop watching Naruto at around episode 131, and then pick up Naruto: Shippuuden right after that (Because they have about 90 episodes of filler after the Naruto vs Sauce fight). They do drag out a lot of chapters in the anime, and they toss in a lot of filler too. Albeit, it is great seeing some fights animated.
If you want to go with the anime though, I would. Just find out which episodes are mostly/all filler and just skip em
Yeah I already know what episodes are fillers and I don't worry about catching up - if I feel like it I can just start reading manga after I'm up to the latest anime episodes. What I wanted to know was whether anime, aside of fillers of course, is in any form weaker, i.e. missing stuff, bad adaptation, changed story w/e, but it doesn't seem to be the case.
