We already know he can dispel it. What he means is there is no precedent for him being able to release edo tensei on some one who has regained control of his soul/body.

Seriously, why the fuck are you discussing precedents regarding a character that has fucking sharingan?
Hashirama defeating Madara doesn't make any sense, he didn't seem like a very big deal when Orochimaru summoned him.
EDIT: I'm just saying that because Zilong mentioned how hax sharingan are, I thought damn Hashirama must have been a beast then I was like oh wait no he was terrible
Oh no, he was a beast, but I think that is more testament to how bad ass the third was. The only reason the First is still relevant at this point in time is because of his wood jutsu and his special chakra allowing it.
Tbh that fight didn't last long at all. 3rd hokage got beat badly and I don't think 1st and 2nd hokage were serious before they got seal in the shinigami. That is one hax sealing jutsu.
Can't wait to see how this goes tuesday or wed
Last chapter before week break orz
unless the break is this week, but the next issue is leaked, like it often is, so we'll get the chapter this week when it's not out, but wont have a chapter the week after when it actually comes out.
I was looking at it more from a stance that Itachi will eventually pack it up and go back to being dead because the laws in this manga dictate it. There is almost zero chance he'll be around long even if he controls his own soul but we have a golden opportunity to use a character beloved by fans since part 1 for one last hurrah.
Itachi's already served his major purpose in the story but there is room for him to show off his full power against the antagonists. A neat reunion w/Sauce would be nice but that might be pushing it. Either way, with Naruto on same page with regards to Konoha and the crowjob complete, Itachi has little else to do now but sate fans and then go back to being dead.
As people have already said, there's nothing to say what laws Itachi is or isn't under.because the laws in this manga dictate it
Unless we have an example of someone else who was under Edo Tensai have a crow come out of someone's mouth and cast a genjutsu on them, freeing them from Edo Tensai's control.
On the contrary, we have 1 law that has trumped every single other law of anything ever. Sharingan: It can do whatever the hell it wants.
Honestly, I don't care one way or the other. I just like arguing.
Pain revived a lot of key characters and restored Konoha with a single jutsu after speaking with Naruto, it isn't so farfetched that Itachi can come back somehow. Though, as rs pointed out, his role feels kind of finished.
That brings up an interesting point, I wonder if Nagato can pull off that Raise spell jutsu again.
Well based on Konan's wording in 449 as long as his chakra levels aren't low it shouldn't affect him that much.
That's the thing, the break was last week and resulted in the leaked chapter which gave us the break this week, lol.
And for Pain/Nagato to revive people, I may be looking too much into this, but based on what he says in the top left panel,
Spoiler: show
there might be a time limit in which he can revive a dead person after they've died.
Poor Nagato, he doesn't know yet that Madara killed Konan does he? :/ [pretty sure she is dead.. right?]
Im talking more about the torch passing that has gone on in this manga since the first series. Forget Edo Tensei or Sharingan and think more of the overarching themes of Naruto.
Itachi's ideals (for Konoha) are now in sync with Naruto's and so that torch has been passed. Much like when they offed Jiraiya, we can see him go out fighting once more or he could give us a rousing speech and then collapse into a mound of dust.
The old always step aside for the young and I see no reason why Itachi would decide to be permanently revived over doing his duty and standing aside as the kids step up to fulfill his dream. Sure, he may stick around until Madaras world war is over or maybe he'll be snuffed out but willingly deciding to stay revived after the conflict? Doesn't seem very Itachi to me.
This is the same guy who dedicated his life to a theme of sacrifice.
Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, HxH, Toriko and Reborn are all on break this week. from MS
I've finally started watching the Danzo/Sauce fight, and I realize now they were dropping hints back then about what Shisui's ability was capable of, as well as how Hashirama's cells could recharge it faster.
Also, it's funny to think.. if Sasuke had taken Itachi's eyes when Madara had pressed him to, the Mangekrow would've activated when Naruto and he clashed after Sakura's idiot move.
That would have thrown a wrench in Madara's plans.
