Not sure what you're trying to argue here? I'm pretty sure it was unanimous in this thread that Edo Tensei and the majority of this war arc are lame as fuck.

He's saying it wouldn't be any worse than what's currently going on. Stop being such a cry baby, it's a universe where people make magic by making gang signs, you don't get to decide what makes sense. You could go all the way back to the beginning and say "that's lame as fuck" about everything. Naruto only won that fight against Haku because he has a demon fox inside him, that's lame as fuck. The hokage only beat Orochimaru because he used a bullshit sealing technique that's lame as fuck. Rock Lee only beat Gaara because he can run so fast you can't see him, that's lame as fuck. And so on. If you don't enjoy fantasy worlds where people kick the shit out of each other with little reasoning behind it then why are you even reading manga in the first place?

The fuck is your point? All I said was it'd be shitty writing if it was Jiraiya. You trying to say that shit would be brilliant or something? Shitty plot elements from the past somehow would excuse that nonsense? This war arc has been corny son, no need to escalate the wut? factor Kishi has been putting out the past few months.

Actually, I enjoyed the hell out of naruto before madara took sasuke and had his talk with him. It's been downhill, for me, since. Oro was a great first villian - the mini-bosses he had fight for him were cheesy but idgf. The introduction of the akatsuki was pretty cool and each unveil of their powers was pretty neat. Itachi/danzo/elders/uchiha storyline was cool, and when the truth was revealed it became my favorite plot from a manga/cartoon/stupidshow ever. Pain was pretty awesome too. Attacking a village single-handedly was epic.

Something went wrong afterwards though. Naruto's almost over and I know because it's become an absolute shitfest of stuff in an attempt for a finale that's better than the rest of the story. I doubt anybody cares that the former jinchurkiskifw/e have rinnegan/sharingan and are now the whatever of that statue thing. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention jiraiya's best display of himself against pain. That was almost as epic as itachi's betrayal, and his death, as far as deaths go, was the only one I cared about in the entire series. Bringing him back would be almost as cheap as bringing back every single motherfucker ever mentioned in the story.

Man, I used to be interested in who's strong(itachi/kisame mentioning jiraiya would "drag our names through the mud" was cooler than if they actually fought), but it isn't that same universe where people make magic by throwing gang signs around. It's who's got the best "active" power(ala fox/eyes). I bet sasuke v naruto is going to end up being yellow naruto smashing his fists up against susanoo.

tl;dr It's pretty reasonable people think this is lame because they've grown to enjoy a specific "fantasy world where people kick the shit out of each other with little reasoning behind it" and it's been turned up-side-down by some really shitty writing.
