So it was Naruto, but lots of questions. Where's Bee? How close was Naruto and Bee's fight to where Gaara and the rest are fighting? When did Naruto recharge his chakra and is it going to burn out again? Why is he still trying to take everyone on, back to back?

Well, it's obvious that he's no longer trying to take everyone on back to back after telling Garaa and the old dude to head to another battlefield. The stuff that Itachi (& Iruka) told him last chapter finally got to him-- he's just doing what he knows he can do for everyone to avoid conflict.

I bet Bee is at his own battlefield and will soon find and take Naruto's place in this upcoming fight (since it's an opponent from his own country). And of course Naruto got an off screen power recharge as per plot-kai of manga.

A better question would be what will Sasuke do now that he only considers Naruto and Madara his only true opponents in this war. He doesn't even know that Itachi is pseudo-resurrected and will be in the same vicinity as him, lol.

It's normal 9 tails mode. During that talk with Itachi, they went back to the whole "Don't Clone Self" shit, hence the dialogue about Itachi giving advice on not doing it alone. Kishimoto isn't as retarded as Kubo is when it comes to plot-kai and plot holes, at least. You have it mixed up with 9-tails mode-- it seems he can use that indefinitely as long as he doesn't clone himself. Also the fact that it manifests his Sage Techniques as well.

I'm pretty sure that he took away some of the risk of making bunshins in 9 tales mode when he bitched out the fox right before heading to the battlefield, didn't he? I can't remember exactly what happened but I'm pretty sure he was like "stay out of this, unless you want to die with me."

He turned back into fox mode last chapter before heading out to this fight. It was a pretty fun chapter. Extendo Rasengan was kinda cool. Glad they're wrapping up the minor fights quickly.

Wait. Is he merging his sage ability with his 9-tails mode or has it all out abandoned the sage mode due to the increased power/stamina that tails mode affords him? Is it like DBZ where Goku tossed aside the Kaiyoken in favor of Super Sayian because the power was not only completely superior, but the downsides were minimized? Ninetails mode seems to be able to be activated on the fly and has far greater power and flexibility, but Sage mode still seems to have some benefits over 9-tails, mainly the ability to store "extra batteries" of sage mode in a different place for a quick replenishment of power.

I would have liked to have seen Naruto train and expand on that aspect of Sage mode further. I think it would have been great to see Naruto able to fight for 3 days like some of these "legendary" guys simply by learning to control and stock up 10 sage clones of himself. I don't think the 9-tails mode works like that, so I doubt we'll be seeing it from now on.

I think Naruto still uses senjutsu as a chakra-sensing ability, though I may have simply misread, and kyubi chakra allows for the same.

I don't think we'll see Naruto abandon senjutsu, as it provides a nice backup when kyubi mode becomes troublesome. Beyond that, though, kyubi mode seems to surpass senjutsu in pretty much all parameters. If Naruto could full-time kyubi chakra, I see no reason why he shouldn't.

I do rather lament the abandonment of the Taiju-Kage-Bunshin training technique. Being able to develop and master just about any jutsu in mere days is just as hax as a mastered kyubi, even moreso with a mastered kyubi.

There's still the possibility if him being the only one ever to be able to combine Sage, Kyubi and his normal chakra... Sure, they do say it is impossible, but what other seemingly impossible task hasn't Naruto mastered? Perhaps that's how he'll get his Sennin eyes...
