^Don't worry bro, I got you! The one at the begining of the chapter was an illusion. The real one was on top of the clam and was uncovered by Gaara. Nobody is an illusion right now.... I hope.

Good chapter, but the limitations of manga make it worse imo. Once we see it animated I'll probably like it a lot more.

Did the explanation seem a little heavy-handed to anybody? I understood it, it just seemed really lengthy. This manga's always done the whole "WTF, why didn't my attack work" moment followed by an explanation of a power or something, but this one with the mizukage feels like it's reaching a bit. Does it make sense? Sure. It's just strayed from, and has been straying for a while, the simplicity of a lot of the powers in the manga. On the other hand, while the enemies are getting more complex, it would make sense their powers are, too, and there's definitely a need for some detailed strategy to take down these resurrected super baddies, so I guess it's fine. I just miss the whole, "This is Zabuza, he's a legendary swordsman who uses water and mist techniques to kill stuff."

It made sense, just took forever to explain cause it involved using part of one enemy left over to defeat the ability of another enemy before defeating the enemy.

Gaara is a badass to have come up with that strategy at the last minute like that, seeing the wall and the egg was pretty awesome.

Kind of boring that they've been fighting this same guy for the past few chapters though.

I really liked this chapter mostly for the things he ended up doing. He has gradually become my favourite character over time, became so awesome despite his shitty past. I really hope that Gaara finishes him off and seals him and it is not another cliche 'naruto steps in to save the day' kind of deal. And yes, i hope this fight is more or less done with and we can move on to something else.

Where's the anime at now? Last I heard, they kinda restarted the canon stuff but I used to depend on this thread to find out. I have better things to do than watch fillers. >BO

I just check the episode titles on Wikipedia every so often and just guess if it is filler. With episode titles like "Eat or Die! Mushrooms from Hell!" and "The Leaf Village Girls-Only Club" I'm thinking it is still filler. =(
