It probably is his brother, we know you can get them transplanted without any issue, could simply have taken Madara's at death.

Let's see

- Itachi had his eyes removed post mortem
- So did Nagato
- Both of their eyes are being used currently
- Both of them have fully working magical eyes after edo tensei.

There's no reason why Madara's brother shouldn't have eyes.

Yes, I too believed that Madara's body was in the last coffin. Still didn't lower my surprise since it was just a theory. Now that it's confirmed the next step is figuring out who Tobi is.

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense that it's a genetic clone of Madara. I mean,he already made a completely new person by mixing first hokage's cells with (what I assume) is his own cells to try and combine the two bloodlines to make a new rinnegan Sage, which resulted in Zetsu. Zetsu was probably a failure though, so he made a new attempt which resulted in Tobi, which probably wasn't a successful attempt either, but was more complete than Zetsu. My guess is that they (Tobi and Madara) at this point came up with a new plan, but before they could complete it Madara died, leaving Tobi to take up the plan alone while trying to resurrect Madara, his original body.

Guessing he assumed Nagato used his powers to bring him back to life. Makes it more and more plausible that Tobi is just some madara clone or some shit that was supposed to bring him back to life, as much as I don't want that to be the story lol.

It's gotta be...

1) It's Izuna Uchiha behind the Tobi mask and this is the real Madara.
2) It's also Madara, but created from his memories/body/DNA just after his final battle with Hashirama Senju-- he probably split his soul or some shit (or space time jutsu and created alternate future), which could explain how's he's like a wraith and ninjutsu passes through him.
3) Real Madara and the other one running around is a clone with his own aspirations.
4) Someone else behind Kabuto is secretly pulling the strings when it comes to Madara's story and running around posing to be him.
5) Kabuto or Sasuke or some unknown somehow killed Madara during this war off panel and he was just resurrected with memories reset.

That's pretty amazing however. And apparently based on this chapter, the Outer Path: Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique is the "pure" version of Edo Tensei and can have it's power increased instead of just being right after death, which is cool, but leads to another plot hole/device. Also means that Nagato knew the real Madara was dead the entire time, which ain't cool yo.

For real, Tobi might be a holder jutsu, in the same way Minato and Kushina used their chakra to "copy" themselves into their son's soul, Madara might have had some imprint of himself stored on a scroll or something, that activated when the real Madara died, at which point the shade/imprint/jutsu wandered the world carrying out Madara's final ambitions.

Yeah I can believe this. But the problem is with how he mentioned Nagato as if he was expecting to be revived by him at a certain time. I think it's Izuna pulling some crazy shit off. Probably even assassinated his own brother down the line.

Not necessarily, just means he expected Tobi (whoever the fuck that might be) to make Nagato resurrect him at one point. Nagato being a pawn, probably wasn't filled in on most of the big plans.

True that. that leads to:

6) Izuna or whoever is behind Tobi Mask & Madara were originally in cohorts to take over the ninja world, when Tobi-Mask Man decided he's gonna do shit all his own. Makes sense that Kabuto somehow got word and used Madara's body as blackmail.

I'm thinking it has to be Madara in some sort of form behind the mask just because Itachi referred to him that way and Itachi pretty much is always one step ahead of everyone. Also, despite Itachi's past where he has hidden things, he wouldn't hide knowing who he actually was since he doesn't want Madara's plan to succeed.

The question is that if "real" Madara had been dead this entire time (presumably at the time of the fight between he and Shodaime) , how would he even know about Nagato, who was born some decades later after his death?

Going with some sort of soul split thing. Either way, exciting twist.

Also glad to see the original badass looking Madara.
