Actually, I don't think Naruto will become Hokage. I think he will become something larger than that; I think he will become the leader of the "United Countries" or something - like a "President" deal where he oversees the other nations, where the Kages are leaders of their villages, but they all report to the President - aka Naruto - in an attempt to to keep their newfound peace. So technically he'd be a Shodaime, I suppose, of the New World.

Technically this system already exists, since the Hokage report to the leader of the Fire country. So it would make sense for the Kages to have a similar system; I suppose we could call him Shogun or something.

Only in his prime perhaps because after his battle with Orochimaru and the incomplete Edo'd 1st/2nd, it was pretty clear that age had caught up with him.

Sarutobi is the man though, being the genius behind the Sannin.
