Would make no sense. The 1st was edo tensai'd by orochi and then sealed by the 3rd. And aisde from that, it makes no sense for him to be evil and working with Madara, they could have teamed up and ruled the world years ago if they wanted to.

I considered the possibility of Shodaime too, but given that he was sealed away with Shiki Fujin, it's unlikely. Especially considering he did honor the guy in a way by having a statue constructed of him at the valley of the end. So there was some grudging respect there.

I mean on one hand I could see it coming from left field too, but I realllllly hope that's not the case.

I'm curious when or if we'll get the whole Root back story. It'll probably be revealed when Sasuke gets back into the picture. Odds are good Shisui was in Root too. Other things that haven't been revealed either are for example is what the connection Orochi and Danzo had. It's likely Danzo and Root helped Orochi with the assassination of the Third but past that we don't know much. I was really hoping Itachi would have stuck around longer, it's really shame since he's so damn cool.

He didn't die or anything (lol), so he is still around somewhere.

I just realized it's within the real of possibility for Tobi to lose/die in this war and Kabutochimaru to become the big bad. Hell, it'll probably be Kabuto who ends up screwing over Tobi and putting him in a very bad spot. Or it could be the exact opposite and Tobi could make a very fast, very anticlimactic end for Kabuto like Itachi did for Orochimaru.
Though maybe Itachi's heading over to Kabuto right now to kill him. Kabuto would be all "if you kill me the jutsu will end and you'll die", and Itachi will be like "I'm already dead!"

Damn I reread it, for some reason I thought he dissolved after saying the stuff about "I'll leave Sasuke to you Naruto." So he's going after Kabuto, hmmm, that doesn't seem like a fair fight. The weakness of Edo Tensei could be that dispelling the technique dispels all of the reanimated people.

Is Itachi even Edo Tensai'd anymore? Or is he actually alive? I have to go bak and reread, but it seemed like it was more than getting away from Kabuto's control. Otherwise Kabuto could just unsummon him at anytime, right?

He's independent of Kabuto's control thanks to the crowjob but he's still an edo'd zombie.

Maybe it's just me but I can't see Kabuto taking the reins of Big Bad because Kishi has him as the mad scientist reviving people way more powerful than himself and it's only a matter of time before his obsession with necromancy does him in. Much like Orochimaru's obsession with getting Sharingan ultimately led him to orchestrate his own demise, Kabuto is making the same mistakes in thinking he can tame fire.

Are we supposed to believe that Kabuto is going to keep Madara under his control for long? A twin Rinnegan Madara in his prime?

If Kabuto does, I'd say it's probably a better chance we'd see Orochimaru's personality completely overtake Kabuto and for all intents and purposes it'd be like Orochimaru was wished back with the dragon balls.

But I'd say the odds are better that Kabuto tries to screw over Tobi or vice versa and they both end up losing.
Though I'm not sure who Kishi could possibly have take over the main villain slot if we lose both Tobi and Kabuto.
I really doubt Kishi will have Sasuke be it unless he has him do some really dark stuff in this arc.

Before it goes on any more, ill catch people up with the mangekyo. Kakashi does suffer blindness, that's why he knows about that drawback during the itachi clone battle on their way to save gaara during the first arc in shippuden (if he didn't suffer from it, he wouldn't even have the presenence of mind to mention it to itachi); however, he very rarely uses the eye, and even then not for long. Compare that to the length of time plus the number of times he's used it to sasuke, when he went "full blind" right after the danzo fight, and they don't even compare. Not that it matters if he goes partial blind, he has a normal eye to use until his sharingan goes away completely (if we ever see it in the manga).

We've bought up it so many times already, but every single hokage is off limits, every single one except tsunade has been permanently sealed. Tobi is either a madara clone, or some one stupid like obito, that's about it.

Im on the phone atm, but itachi does say something about either izanagi or rinnegan, when mixed with the 1st dna, but his exact words are "however unlikely that is". I want to say its related to izanagi, but id have to check. Its during the bee/naruto/itachi vs pein fight if any one wants to look it up real quick. Also, if kabuto could just unsummon him, don't you think he would have done so before he sealed pein? Cmon guys, were better then this lol.

Finally, bad ass chapter is bad ass. But I hate how we have an awol itachi/7 jinchuuruki on the loose that need dealing with before naruto and madara have their ultimate showdown...

Wait, what? Kakashi has never mentioned blindness. The only thing I remember is the huge chakra draw because he's a non-Uchiha, as well as the required chakra for Kamui.

Itachi was talking about shisui's MS ability. It would take another 10 years for him to use it, but because Danzo had 1st DNA, he was able to use it once a day or something.

About Kabuto being able to unsummon itachi, that was sorta my point. If he was still a zombie, Kabuto should be able to just get rid of him, but he hasn't. That's one of the reasons I think Itachi is basically just back to life now.

He did, back when they ran into the fake Itachi early in part 2.
