We already know the tailed beasts are all getting extracted, we can't have this aura of friendship around if the bijuu are going to forever be imprisoned inside ninja, whether they're friendly or not.

Calling it now, more then likely sasuke will some how extract the 8 and 9 tails (or make them unusuable) and it will be og naruto vs sasuke, and after the fight the bijuu will die or be freed, some drama stuff happens, happy ending with minimal deaths overall.

We still have a bit of time to go before naruto goes fin.

Naruto is still strong as fuck, even without the 9-tail. He beat Pain (except the last one) with Sage Mode.

The fact that he combines all modes - even if he use it with shadow clones - to get the best of both worlds and cover his weaknesses is just pure awesome. He must certainly be one of the strongest ninjas to have lived. He's also become surprisingly smart lately, what happened?

It almost seems implied that is the definitive 9-tails biju mode and its unique look is due to 9-tails being the strongest exponentially as Kishi had hinted earlier. That's the way I took it at least considering Naruto and the 9-tails are already doing a beast bomb to negate the rest of the tailed beasts.

What's there to gain other then looking not as cool by turning straight into the 9-tails?

You know, looking at how this whole battle is turning out to be just a monster battle, was there any point of all in implanting Sharingan into those zombie bijuu? or was it just there because it comes free with a happy meal?

I think this Bijuu mode looks different because of the crazy Seal that Yondaime put on Naruto. With Naruto and Kurama, you see a gated lock and seal different from anyone else. Those.. almost tribal designs on Naruto and Kurama look very similar to shinto talismans and charms. Remember that Japan is all but obsessed with tradition, which is why you always see references to charms and ancient gods, like Amaterasu and Kami and whatnot.

@Zilong: Probably makes it easier to control the bodies.

Sharingan for movement/chakra detection; Rinnegan for shared vision. Probably works for both zombies and bijuu.

To be fair, his previous mode looked more like Sage of Six Paths than this one. He looked more like Minato in this one - to the extent that he even got mixed up with Minato at first.
