I highly doubt that Itachi is dead, you don't really build up a character that much from the beginning of the series to let him die in 1/4 of an episode, anime wise.

If he really is dead then the only reason I guess they would do that is to show how strong Saske has gotten. Didn't the creator say this year is going to be mainly about Saske? Possibly Itachi tells him something and then he goes off on his own adventure and then at the end you find out that Itachi really isn't dead and blah blah blah.

Personally, I wouldn't rule out Obito actually being the one that killed them all while luring Sasuke into the grudge against Itachi since the two of them could perceivably become his biggest threats as fellow Sharingan users. Conspiracy of Itachi being a Konoha spy in Akatsuki ensues, only everyone who knew about it is dead by now due to Orochimaru's attack or something.

Itachi isn't dead yet. I mean, Sasuke did basically the same thing Naruto did while fighting Itachi, only instead of a genjutsu he used clones. Itachi has reversed genjutsu before without moving, remember Kurenai when Itachi and Kisame first came back to Konoha for Naruto? Granted, Kurenai is probably at an academy-ninja level compared to Sasuke, but still. I, at the risk of sounding like a complete douchebag fanboy faggot, absolutely refuse to believe Itachi could have been killed that easily.

Though I guess I wouldn't be surprised if he really was dead only after admitting he did not kill his family at all and someone else did it, pushing Sasuke into an even more crazed obsession with finding out who the real killer was, causing him to train even more which will result in the Narutoverse equivalent of SSJ4 that Sasuke will reach to destroy the entire planet they live on. Luckily though a different ninja will have come along by then capable of using a jutsu to travel from planet to planet and take people with him, thus saving anyone of any importance while leaving the shit ninjas behind.

That combined RasenganChidori move was pretty sick. If I don't get my fusion, I can see somewhere after itachi is dead them having to team up to kill pain or madara or someone and doing that attack.

I'm not into the naruto or dbz or really any fighting game thats 1v1 anymore, but I would probably change that for this game.

I don't mean to quote myself but lol, i never realized until now that naruto always does rasengan with his right hand and sasuke always does chidori with his left hand, dont they? zomg combined attack was always planned from the start. Itatchi tells sasuke this super plot twist that it was really madara or pain behind his family's deaths and sasuke teams up with naruto to kill madara/pain wowww and they used a combined technique what a story.

I was tempted to buy a Ps2 from Japan just to play this game, then discovered a bunch of ways to play it cheaper on a normal Ps2. I still haven't done it but I'm so tempted. Is that youtube link to the most recent version of the game? It seems alot more current than the videos that got me obsessed with the game series. I really creamed by jeans when I saw Gaara, the 4th, the Hokages, Sasori and Itachi in play. It's not like some generic fighting game where everybody does the same shit with different special moves. Gaara flys around on a cloud and actually uses his sand as his primary fighting form, he doesn't move from a standing position. The 4th uses the Lightning Kunai thing and teleports around and fights, the Hokages have their respective elemental jutsu and the 1st usues wood alot. Sasori uses his tail primarily but probably has special moves involving his puppets and shit. And Itachi was my favorite, he actually fights like Itachi, uses teh crows and shit, and has this eye jutsu that slows down time in the bubble for everyone except him. It's so badass....

The Rasengan with the right hand, Chidori with the left hand thing is to subtly show contrast between Sasuke and Naruto (and obviously for the future fusion move). Then again, I may be thinking into it too much, but things like those are fairly easy ways to show difference between characters.

On the topic of games though, does anyone know if the Xbox360 Naruto game have the option to play the actual fighting game versus a computer, or is the 1v1 fighting portion of the game online only?

Well, you could mod your PS2 with either a mod chip or a Flip Top. I personally use a Flip Top, because I suck at mod chips. Flip Tops are pretty cheap and then you get the SwapMagic CD/DVD combo. All and all, it's like 30-35 bucks I think? I've gotten the DBZ: Tenkaichi 3 JP PAL version that comes with the JP/English voices and I got Naruto: Narultimate 3 which is the last in the "regular" Naruto series. It's fucking badass. Has all the Hokage, Itachi/Kisame of course and just a ton of characters. It basically goes through Naruto/Sasuke's fight and what not so it has CS2 Sasuke and One-Tailed Naruto. The Shippuuden ones are looking fantastic too. I'm tempted to possibly grab it by some other means. D: *coughblackcatscough*

Anyway, yeah. D: Try to look into getting a Flip Top. You won't rregret it.
