They have to be able to provide a reasonable alternative, ala CrunchyRoll (which I gladly pay for). CrunchyRoll even employs translators from sub groups.

I just don't think they ever will be able to unless SJ gives them the scans days ahead of time - someone at Shueisha already leaks the magazines to scanners 4-5 days before they go on sale - even Japanese people read those scans early and Shueisha's magazine sales have been in decline for a decade.

The manga/comic industry really need to get with the times and realize the truth that other press media companies learned years ago. Eventually authors will go straight to online publishing and skip them. They are still making bank off tankobons of the big 3 so I guess that's enough for them.

so just to make sure, our best bets for future releases will probably be crunchy roll? this is the only manga i read besides berserk so im way behind on stuff like this

Crunchyroll only does the anime. I also pay for Crunchyroll because I think it's actually worth the money whereas shit like Shonen Jump Alpha isn't. If Shonen Jump Alpha was more like Cruncyroll, I'd be more inclined to have a subscription.

What about the sealing sword that itachi's susanoo has. Since saucegay has itachi's eyes now, i can see them using that as a way for saucegay to have a sealing technique.

I suppose that is a possibility. I completely forgot about that, and it would make sense if he got those weapons when he got Itachi's eyes.

Itachi's susanoo also had the yata mirror (shield). In this chapter saucegay's susanoo was also holding a ball of amatererasu instead of a bow like it normally has.

I asked a friend but I'll ask you all just the same. If Viz Media gets translators to reliably provide weekly manga in the language your most comfortable with, would you purchase it? I'm still on the fence for this because there are only about 2-3 manga that I ready from them. Even now, there are plenty of times where I'd let the manga go for a month or so just to read them in one big helping (sup Bleach).

Without knowing the cost of SJ issues, I can't really jump in and divide that by the number of regularly released content. But if someone said that for 10-25 cent per series I could have indefinite access to quality scans and good, timely translations, I wouldn't mind throwing 20-50 cents a week to read Naruto and Bleach.

Would sort of make sense to let Sasuke kill Itachi. Author seems to want to make him psycho crazy and letting him kill off his one (barely) logical reason for doing all this would be a good way to do it - i.e. now he'll just be a serial killing psycho with no purpose. I hate this though. I don't get why he made Sasuke so unlikable. You can actually respect other bad guys like Madara/Tobi/Pain/Kisame. But you have none of that for Sasuke, you just want him to die. :/
