To be honest, I think Sasuke was bearly likeable during the lead up to the exams and then briefly afterwards when you could understand his rivalry with Naruto seeing as he was getting stronger and Sasuke wasn't. Then he took the seal thing on full-time and bam, instant douche for the rest of the manga. I'm just hoping Karin meets up with the other 2 guys from their team so that they find out he tried to kill her, because it's pretty annoying they still worship him despite him leaving them to die after saving his life like a bajillion times.

Edit: As for THIS chapter, did see it coming that he'd have what I think is now the third hashirama face people have stuck on stuff? Also, what happened to Itachi saying he'd leave sasuke to naruto rather than get involved? I guess he might get a slap for being such a goon since Itachi died.

I could respect sauce even after he defected from Konoha to join Oros freakshow. He had goals, he clearly had limits on who he wanted to kill and he was working hard to get strong enough to beat Itachi. At this point he wasn't very different from Naruto's tutelage under Jiraiya. Hell, he even rebuilt his old team and seemed to have some camaraderie going on. Standoff as he was, he did care for them for a bit.

Then the post-Itachi Sauce happened and the world was introduced to the whiny, 'ill kill you all' Uchiha. Less about mixing the Sharingan with skill and more about OCULAR JUTSU SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM. Well, at least we got the Bee beatdown he took and then getting a Lariat to the neck at the summit.

Maybe Kishi doesn't even like Sasuke and is getting it to a point where when he dies he can be done with him. I doubt Sasuke is the final bad guy unless he gets a hold of Madara's eyes and jutsus.

Bland characterization notwithstanding, Sasuke's presence was more dynamic before the Mangekyo. Now it's all "Susanoo! Ameterasu! Rage! Pain! Tears of blood!"

Sharingan was plenty dangerous and interesting (imagine the threat of having every single jutsu flipped on you), without the Ancient Magic and summons.

He had a chance to do a Sasuke/Kakashi fight already but he was almost blind so it wouldn't have been as good. Honestly Sharingan stopped being a really cool fight thing around the Sasuke/Itachi one. Genjutsu is not fun at all to follow as a reader/anime watcher after a certain point(previously mentioned fight + anyone who has read Aizen stuff in Bleach can agree) where the main characters pass a certain strength threshold. Byakugan and Rinnegan have provided more interesting fights than the Sharingan in this series after the Zabuza fight.
