Yes, of course it's just speculation, noone ever claimed to have hard proof that the 3rd sage animals or w/e would be Slugs. It just seems like thats where the pattern is leading. Who do you think is most likely to be in the 3rd Sage village when we know the first 2 are Frogs and Snakes?

You don't always need to be flat out told to be able to know whats going to happen in this Manga. How many of us didn't know Naruto was the 4ths kid years before they flat out told us or showed proof?

Edit: Again, this is not to say that the Slug will be the last sage mode. It's obviously just speculation atm. Hell, it could be nindogs still for all we know. The only summoned animals they have shown more than 1 of are frogs, snakes, and dogs. We've still only seen the 1 slug I think. So you never know. I'm still going to assume that its the 3rd sannin that knows about the 3rd sage village though.

Kabuto on the other hand has no interest in finding an "ultimate body" so he just applied all of Orochimaru's hacks into his own body which he probably accomplished by just injecting himself with some syringe.

So in the end, Kabuto will be defeated by the power of science. Some sort of unstable reaction.. or something.

Would be amusing (though I don't want it to happen) if he ends up absorbing Sasuke. Maybe the Uchiha body is the perfect one to meld those snake-sage techniques.. or something.

This is kind of unrealistic. Every ninja would have huge problems against 1 susanoo yet kabutochimaru is facing 2 of them and is still alive ¬.¬ (while still keeping control of the undead-revive Jutsu).

Kabuto was missing for a VERY long time so I dont get your comment about him not having time for this junk. Kabuto has had the most free time of any character in the show barring Anko whom vanished during the genin exams and didn't come back until it was time to die.

Who says Kabuto would even resist Orochimaru? Always seemed to me that Kabuto was ultra gay for Orochimaru.

Itachi was trolling Sasuke for knowing a bunch about snakes and Orochimaru.

Kabuto commented that the knowledge wouldn't help him.

Keep in mind that Itachi has been trolling ever since he was revived. Guy has a fun personality, somehow.

Really after reading this all this is telling me is Sasuke is going to know how to deal with nature and sage mode so when he fights naruto he will have somewhat of a chance.

Now we just need him to fight someone with 4th like speed.....nvm already did that vs raikage. So i think next set of fights for 'the sauce' will be reminder kung fu of 80s montage style so he can train to make the fight with naruto somewhat winable.

I guess if the sauce can somehow upgrade his sharingan to rinn then we will see another great fight of pein vs naruto.

My only question is how Itachi and Sasuke said susanoo hurts on a cellular lvl how the hell does one have that out for any amount of time unless they are unkillable like Madara?

Rasenshuriken hurts at the cell level, susanno just fucks with your eyes. Sasuke has ems though, and itachi has a new set of eyes.

Also, gonna say itachi isn't invincible any more even though he is a self controlled edo tensei; why block a silly snake attack if you're immortal?
