I think Juben's referring to one of the first times Sasuke manifested Susano'o. He said something along the lines of "I can feel the pain down to my very cells. Is this what Itachi had to live with..?"

I'm not sure what the original Japanese said, but it seems like it was trying to communicate the stress manifesting/maintaining Susano'o does to the user.

For the person saying Orochi needs to come back don't count on it. Orochi was sealed that was also part of the planned fight Itachi had with Sasuke. I'm guessing Itachi could have let Sasuke off a bit easier but the reason he beat him to an inch of his life was specifically to awaken Orochi's last bit of spirit/will/whatever. There's no indication that Orochi left any shred of his mind else where Kabuto just took Orochi's techniques and DNA then used them to enhance himself.

I actually like the fact that Kabuto has surpassed Orochi he always has seemed to be one step ahead of people in many cases. Orochi was too obsessed with revenge and Uchihas. I was actually thinking Kabuto would be the one to back stab Orochi for the longest time. As much as Edo Tensei is BS I think everything else Kabuto has shown so far is pretty badass. Without him it seems Tobi wouldn't have stood a chance in this war.

From what I am recalling, Susano only works because the user offers life force to it, if it didn't then it would consume the user or something like that. It's not a simple eye technique that uses chakra.

Kabuto has the same Orochimaru that Sasuke had as far as we know, bits of him went into him and Kabuto after his death.

Don't see how its so impossible. Uzumaki are a clan just like the Senju, the Uchiha, etc etc. They once all lived in one village but then their village got destroyed, so assumably all the remaining Uzumaki spread out into other villages. Family names don't really work the same way in Naruto as they do in real life. Entire clans share last names. Just because she's an Uzumaki, doesn't mean she's related to Naruto in any way, aside from maybe a shared relative a few generations back.

I think in Naruto powerful people's cells in transplants would just eventually turn them into a manifestation of their power, like how Hashirama's cells were turning Danzou into a tree. Orochimaru's cells would probably have turned Kabuto into a freaky ass snake permenantly if he hadn't taken control, not that he isn't basically a freaky ass snake most of the time now anyway.

As for Susanoo, Sasuke did struggle with it before but it seems like EMS might make it manageable or something, and Itachi's pretty dead so I guess it doesn't really affect him now.

"After Orochimaru's defeat at the hands of Sasuke, Kabuto integrates remains from Orochimaru's body into his own. The remains start taking control of his body, and Kabuto is in a constant struggle to keep them from spreading. ..."

There was something in the manga that lead me to believe he's literally being taken over by orochimaru and foreshadowed his return(because come on, oro's more badass than kabuto). But idk.

I don't know, it seemed pretty definitive to me of his end when Orochimaru got sealed by Itachi. I personally think Oro will never come back, especially with all this Kabuto got sage mode shit going on.

Orochimaru's soul was sealed into Neverneverland. Unless Kabuto injected himself with Peter Pan's DNA too, Orochimaru is gone for good. I agree with the post on the last page (inferior forum settings) that Kabuto probably would have just turned into a snakemonster or something.

No one is saying that Orochimaru's soul is going to be possess Kabuto.
What I would think would happen would be Kabuto's body literally becoming Orochimaru. Not saying it would, but it could be a good way to bring back Orochimaru albeit not the same exact Orochimaru, just an Orochimaru body with a Kabuto soul. And maybe Orochimaru memories if they feel like going the "dna contains memories" route.

Kabuto just has Orochimaru's abilities, and started to favor him due to injection from his cells.

He's not Orochimaru. He doesn't have any of his consciousness. It's still the same Kabuto that's been around since the start of the series.

Even though he was probably bottoming for Orochimaru, Kabuto's a pretty boss and clever shinobi, he's probably got the raw will power to suppress a resurgence, assuming Kishimoto decides to take the Orochimaru's-cells-retain-his-personality route.

The cells were taking over, and that's why he's mainly a snake. Orochi himself is gone for good though, unless something happens to Itachi's sword or w/e.

I know Naruto had trees and shit growing around him when he first got his 9tails cloak or w/e, but I'm still convinced the reason the zetsu's are turning into trees is because they can't control the 1st's chakra anymore after they take so much damage, much like when Danzo's arm turned into a tree and he had to rip it off.
