Some Naruto spoilers from the new chapter.

* The Itachi that Sasuke stabbed was an illusion and Sasuke was aware of this.
* Itachi brings up the name of another Uchiha who was also involved in the murder of the clan, Uchiha Madara
* Sasuke then taunts Itachi to use the Mangekyou on him
* Itachi explains that the Mangekyou is eyes that control the Nine-tails at the cost of one's eyesight
* And then reveals that Madara was the first person to awaken the eyes, thus ending the chapter.

Nice stuff there, and no. I haven't tried the episode. Gonna wait and stream it. I don't bother downloading any of them much anymore, lol.

Well this sets up the finale of the entire series then. Sasuke after finding out the truth about his clan ceases to be emo during the final battle with Naruto, after Naruto sprouts nine tails of chakra and needs Sasuke to make the ultimate sacrifice to save the world........... and his friend

Do we know Madara is blind? What if the purpose of the Uchiha Massacre was to secure extra sharingan bodies and Madara has some technique so that he can take over someones body with it? Then he uses that body until he goes blind again and jumps to another. That would explain both how Madara is still alive and why the massacre took place.

Also, this opens up a couple options I see for the story to go. Either Sasuke isn't going to risk losing his eyesight and so will want to avoid killing Naruto for it, or he'll be looking to take control of Naruto to help in a final battle of Naruto + Sasuke vs Madara + Itachi. Or maybe Sasuke will come back to Naruto's side and train with him since he'll be the only non-Sharingan in a super sharingan battle. Obviously there are other options those are just a few that came to mind.

What I have to wonder now is what the effect of eyes that can tame the Kyuubi means for Naruto. Does that mean Madara could take control of Naruto? Or does it just mean that he can keep all Kyuubi powers at bay so Naruto cannot use them? I mean think about it:

Naruto gets his key to unlock all Kyuubi powers. Gets ready for epic battle with super bad guy.
Madara uses technique that locks Kyuubi chakra so Naruto can't use.
Naruto now has to depend on non-Kyuubi chakra against epic bad guy.

That ties in Yamato saying Naruto needs to depend on his own strength. Also, if Sasuke gets good enough, I think it MIGHT be possible he can "replace" Yamato in being able to control the Kyuubi chakra. So that if Naruto and Sasuke do team up together (like I hope and honestly, sort of seems needed considering Pain and Madara being the bad guys...) Sasuke can help Naruto stay in control.

I can't even speculate right now. The manga has mindfucked me, seriously. There are so many routes it could go now, because honestly I was sort of expecting half of this. I had a feeling Itachi never did anything himself, and after finding out that Madara was still alive and very much a bad guy, I figured he had something to do with it. But I never thought Itachi was actually a cold-hearted badass like this chapter revealed, and I expected maybe Sasuke to want to team up with Itachi or something lol...

Really don't even know what to think now. I want to see BRP speculation, he was right about Pain having to have multiple bodies for different types of jutsu, he must be a psychic or something!

I think we need to wait longer, the full story of the reason he left 3 Sharingan users alive isn't known. There is a purpose to leaving Sasuke alive besides simply revenge, Itachi isn't stupid he wouldn't allow Sasuke to live without a reason. Anyway, I'm hoping next chapter we understand the full reason behind the plot. A Sasuke and Naruto teamup like some are suggesting would definitely be a total fanservice lol.

well yea, itachi said the price for mastering the sharingan was going blind, and he said madara had done that so... one would assume that he is blind

but it could also mean that he can no longer see like any normal person. But he could well have super mega sight using mangekyou constantly meaning he doensn't need the normal sight.

also wanna know if eventually Pain's eyes will be matched up against the sharingan in a penultimate battle...
