This, same as when Haku used his Ice Shield to protect Zabuza.

Plus, he also did it to distract Kabuto enough to drop Sasuke's sword, which he took back. The swords got special properties any ways, it's not simply a throw away weapon.

Yeah the whole point of a clone is to trick the opponent into thinking you are somewhere you're not which opened Kabuto up for the surprise attack on the next page. Seriously short sighted to think the clone was just a "Get out of jail" free card.

The boar story made no sense, Sasuke couldn't do that kind of shit as a kid. Kishi is just trying to add more fodder for the brother bond so when it's destroyed it will be more poignant. Adding this scene here makes me think this is coming sooner rather than later. Probably Itachi being controlled again or released before Sasuke can talk to him.

I'm not sure what you mean. Sasuke didn't accomplish anything in his flashback. He missed the target and Itachi commented on it. The comparison though is to now that he actually hit Kabuto's snake tail with his arrow.

the sauce is still a douche for me. Infact this chapter just showed more how much more of a douche/child/infantile he is. "Wah wah wha want to save/fight together with my Brother, whos will I totally am ignoreing!" He should fucking grow up and either destroy konoha includeing itachi or just let it all be to honor Itachis Will (but that moment went by loooong time ago when he uncovered the truth about itachi).

Real zetsu went to the place where the ninjas were keeping the lords of all their respective countries, then was never heard of again. That was probably close to a year ago now? It's a little ridiculous how all over the place Kishi is with everything...

Sasuke only fucked up a few zetsu clones, to test his new eyes. We still know nothing of Yamato except that he was absorbed by the tree that makes the zetsus. We are led to assume Anko is dead, at this point I'm assuming Yamato is dead too...

Black Zetsu got wrecked by the Mizukage's guard, one of the Seven Swordsmen of the mist. And I'm pretty sure the Zetsu clones said something about Sasuke destroying the original, so I think Zetsu may be done.

There are a lot of hints suggesting that it might be the last or one of the last, but it's not confirmed at all. For all we know, Kishi could surprise us all and keep going another 10 years, but considering the goals of the characters and everything that's happening right now in the story, and also Kishi himself saying the manga is nearing it's climax, it's a good bet that the manga only has maybe at most 3 or 4 years left. That's about 150~200 chapters or so. Which is actually quite a lot now that I think about it.

I don't know about 150-200 chapters...maybe 100-150. The Sasuke/Itachi/Kabuto thing is going to at the very least be half resolved after this (No way all three of them are leaving that fight alive).

Naruto is already engaged with Tobi, and while both could leave that fight alive, there will be losses (Tobi either losses his bijuu, or Naruto loses Bee, Kakashi, or Guy).

And last but not least, the Kage are fighting Madara. There is no way that fight is ending in any way other then Madara "dying", or all 5 Kage dying. After that, there isn't much else in the way of "Oh hey, there's still that evil character and their ambition left unresolved".

Itachi can cancel edo tensei just as madara fucks the kages, taking them out of the fight. Itachi dissapears in the processs. sasuke finishes off kabuto.

This is the least likely outcome of course.

Out of left field, but yes I loved that fight too. Though it could be argued that Sakura was still worthless since she was basically Chiyo's puppet for a good portion of the fight (note I don't this way, and love the fight, but it has been argued to me before)

I like it too, and hadn't really seen her taijutsu skills before or since that fight.

My favorite was hebi(or taka by this point) vs bee. It was not super drawn out, clever use of skills, the animation was on point = LOVE.

The biggest let down for me was Sasuke vs Itachi. It had been built up for fucking years and years and years and ended up being weak with shitty animation. I think I'm still mad about it, really.
