That all sounds good in practice but when the major fights in recent arcs mostly involved either a new eye-hax or an even bigger rasengan, it starts to lose its "oh shit" value.

Huh? What made DBZ last forever then? Goku was using the same things forever, they just got stronger. Stronger =/= bigger btw. Giant rasengans aren't all that appealing to me, idk about you guys.
What's the problem with the same strategies, techniques, etc being used if they're stronger after each time because, you know.. the character's gotten stronger.
Here characters get stronger because they learn some NEW shit. It's boring when you're replacing their entire arsenal every fight - you lose connection with the character when he's literally different in every way, besides his looks, every fight since he's never going to do the same thing, as you say.
Btw, itachi saying "it's already prepared" before the final moment was the best part of the chapter. Glad he's still a bad ass
I still don't get why I view Itachi as a badass when he's using all the same Sharinganegan as The Sauce. I hate that stupid Swiss Army Eye more than anything else in anime but I just can't hate Itachi.
moooooooorrrrreee filllllllllllleeeeeerrrrssss urgh
It's probably because Itachi doesn't give off the same arrogant aura that Sauce does. Since this manga started Itachi has been a quiet badass along with Kisame, his plot twist was surprising and he's become more charismatic since he decided to screw the rules of Edo Tensei and do as he pleases.
Itachi has been 2 steps ahead of everyone in this story and I'm half expecting the final chapter of this manga to be Itachi in a recliner smoking a cigar explaining how the entire manga was a complex genjutsu hallucination.
While you are correct with eye techniques in Naruto just about everything in the manga is an adaptation, improvement or alternate use of the original technique a character used. Kage bushin is still abused by Naruto when he figured out how to use it with sage mode, Shikamaru and Ino are using the same exact moves just modified, Rasengan has been modified multiple times and currently is still the top Jutsu for Naruto to spam, even Sasuke with the Raikiri was a modified Chidori used in a new way before sauce somehow found a way to produce new levels of eyespam. We might be seeing new people but with new things but we certainly aren't seeing much "new shit" out of nowhere for established characters.(unless it involves sharringan)
This does make me wonder what happened to all the logs? Do all the ninjas just forget about them once they get strong enough make decent bushins?
the substitution jutsu seems to be more of a "show off" move imo. Youre some high level badd ass ninja and some little twerp tries to hit you with a shuriken? Fuckin show him up by having enough time and speed to grab a log and block the shuriken with it.
Now when you're dealing with equals or people as fast, as smart, as perceptive as you or even more so, it's a little hard to do.
Just like Dragon Ball Z lost it's awesome factor over time? We talk like this show would be awesome forever if we had less sharingan and made more gang symbols with our hands.
DBZ seemed to turn to shit a lot slower probably because we were all younger, and didn't think as critically as we do now. Plus, while Goku was always a major player, we still saw new faces and completely new enemies almost every arc. Hell, we saw Gohan and Goten grow up on the show, and get their own power ups, use their own styles, etc.
People (including me) bitched about how stupid fillers can be, including worthless storylines (ninja ostrich) but they have become so lazy that the next volume of fillers are vanilla Naruto all over again. What is the point of showing us AGAIN Naruto/Sasuke's story and why they split? At least with the ninja ostrich, they were adding some new. Stupid but new.
wtffff someone on this forum lied to me .... FILLERS FOR THE ANIME THIS WEEK OMGAH FMLLLLL
HEY GUYS, REMEMBER THE FUNDAMENTAL BACKSTORY TO THIS WHOLE SERIES?!
It was something to do with becoming a shinigami who sails to the furthest island to get one piece of treasure while keeping logs of your journey in your deathnote, right? Also, something something, overly buff guy who cooks (I don't read Toriko at all >_>)
and Batman. don't forget batman
who do you think has been working behind the scenes helping each main character out of impossible situations? Plotkai?! Sharingan?! No! it's the God damned Batman!
It's always the God Damned Batman
Supposed to be filler for the next 3 weeks.
3 weeks = 3 episodes no? What's the big deal?
