Probably the fact there are a shit ton of fights that can be done (and drawn out) before catching up to the manga.

My biggest beef with it is that while fillers are usually shit by design, these next three weeks are nothing but the Naruto/Sasuke plot again. It's not even adding anything new.

This. Kakashi and Guy's group had like 10 edo tensei ninja to fight (Seven Swordsmen, Haku, Explosion guy, mummification girl) and we only saw them seal like 3 of em. After Asuma was sealed and Chouji went butterfly mode we didn't see anything til Madara and Gedo Mazo popped up. Kakuzu, Neji's dad and Dan were all offscreened. As was the old puppet lady, Kimimaro and the doofy looking sensor that was with Deidara, Sasori and Sai's brother originally. They could clearly mine stuff like that for more content instead of subjecting us to filler that is A) Retarded B) Rehashes of shit we already knew or C) Both.

I suspect that Itachi could have the Rinnegan, be the Jubi jinchuriki, be the sole character in the manga called Naruto, doing almost nothing but staring at the reader on each page... ad still be kind of awesome.
