Wonder if the loop makes Itachi replay everything too, otherwise it's not that much worse then Izanagi (probably preferable over izanagi actually, since it guarantees victory pretty much). Surprised Danzo didn't use it if Itachi wasn't stuck in the loop too...

It looked like he went blind in his left eye after it activated. I don't think he's stuck in the loop, it's just a one shot tech like Izanagi which doesn't require eye contact like other genjutsu.

Now I am going to have to check out Haruhi Suzumiya. I heard a lot of people raged over the Endless Eight episodes since apparently they animated the same episodes over and over with little changes lol.

Basically yeah. The book was fine because you'd ready the story in 1-2 sittings and be done with it. But when you're waiting for a weekly release... it's 2 months of no story progression (not even Kubo manages that lol). They could have squeezed it into 1-2 episodes, maybe even 3 to flesh it out a little more, but considering the 2nd season had 13 episodes, it doesn't take a genius to work out why people raged at 8 episodes being used to do a Groundhog Day story :s

I do recommend the show though, the first season was magic (if you watch it in the non chronological order, it has a lovely Pulp Fiction-esque ending), and the second seasons fine too if you know which episodes to skip, which I'm sure you can work out by the episode titles.

I'm pretty sure it's done. Kabuto is mentally trapped in an endless loop, but really he'll just be dribbling into his Cheerios for the rest of his life.

I think the only way for kabuto to get out of it is to get rid of edo tensei, since itachi cant run out of chakra in edo tensei mode -----> leading in the death of itachi. Thats probably itachis plan, to get rid of edo tensei. That would still leave Kabuto alive vs. Sasuke tough.

Or we see now hax eyes from sasuke!

To add to that, I still feel like there has to be a bigger side effect then just losing your eye. This technique is far more hax then izanagi, to the point where there's not even a point to using izanagi to survive a mortal blow when you can just trap your opponent in an infinite time loop. Really want to see next weeks issue to see this explained...

Shouldn't Itachi's eye regenerate anyways? Wouldn't make any sense if it didn't. Should've spammed the shit out of that eye hax jutsu while he was a zombie lol.

I'm obviously not sure, but maybe izanami only works while the target has physical contact with the user. Seems like it'd just be a slightly different susanoo sword if there wasn't some other catch to it.

Yeah, I see it as izanagi is a last ditch defensive jutsu, and this one is a last ditch offensive jutsu.

It's not like people go into fights expecting to have to blind themselves either, or they would never be able to fight again. That's why the only people we've seen these from is Danzo (who had 20 shaingan to spare), Tobi (who was on his way to grabbing a pair of rinnegan anyway), and Itachi (who's a fucking zombie and plans on sending all the zombies away in a minute). I feel like these eye hax jutsus would mean a lot more if they were used by ninja's that didn't have unlimited access to rare eyes lol.

I dodge for a minute max, and still have to fight/win; or just infiniloop my opponent. Idk, to me the choice is clear.

there must be something that stops you from just hitting the other hax (i presume if you go blind in any eye you can't use Sasono and if you go blind in your right eye can't use genjutsu and left stops the offensive)
